New paper by the World’s most prominent climate scientists shows rapid acceleration of human-caused warming, with a warming rate now that tracks to near 2.4°C by 2050, far faster than was expected, if it continues.
From paper: “We are witnessing the rapid destabilization of the Earth’s climate system. This is no longer a warning for the future; it is a diagnosis of the present. Earth’s life-support systems are being pushed beyond stable limits, with changes unfolding faster than our ability to respond. Human activities are driving profound shifts in the atmosphere, oceans, and biosphere.”

Bot activity has plummeted because Zelensky has bombed Russian data centres. Lots of us have been warning about bots and disinformation for a decade or more.
Bots gave us Brexit, fanned climate denial, Reform and Trump.
The media ignored it. Govts and leaders pretended it wasn’t happening.
We need an urgent enquiry @andyburnham @AngelaRayner @Ed_Miliband The public need to understand how lies are being weaponised by Russia and the right.

People must understand that the general public are in denial about how serious climate change is.
A very intelligent friend of mine basically was gently ribbing me about all the things I said that we’re going to happen, which haven’t happened, according to them - which wasn’t true. I’ve pointed out the things that are coming in decades.
I mentioned this summer - ? - and was told yes, it was quite hot, I’ll give you that.
People don’t understand we are at the beginning of unprecedented, historic, deadly, global change and nothing will be the same again.
We must stop lying to ourselves that people understand.

Imagine a smoke alarm that has been screaming for decades, while the people in the house argue about whether there’s really a fire.

In the past 50 years, we have seen phenomenal global warming. Here, I used the average global temperature from 1970 to 1979 as the "zero point" (I was born in 1977, which is why i selected the decade.
But hey, sure, lets worry about other things.
