Stalin linked atheism directly to Marxism as scientific materialism against religion as class tool. In his 1927 interview with US labor delegates he stated the Party conducts anti-religious propaganda because it stands for science (religion is its antithesis) to undermine reactionary clergy who support exploiters and preach submission. Church closures, clergy repression, and the push for an atheist "socialist man" free of religious chains implemented this in policy. Atheism itself is only the absence of god-belief and supplies no positive ethics; Stalin's mass killings followed Marxist class struggle prioritizing the collective over individuals.

Yup, in the name of Marxism not Atheism...

When @YTGGFI is your live streaming YouTube conversation with @HewittRincrast so I can ask him for evidence of his MYTHOLOGICAL Noachian flood?

I'll give you a chance interact on this too if you like, with one specific example at a time.

That's Jeff Durbin @PastorNinja of Apologia Church in Phoenix, AZ area. Dr. James White is also a pastor there. Apologetics and evangelism are their specialty.

Largely because I have been investing a lot of time in this and have other important responsibilities, and also a bit weary of being called a liar. :)
Happy to interact with you about that video you commented on over on my page.

I wouldn't call you a liar, David, not when ill-informed Tortucan fits the bill well enough.

How to respond to objections to the Christian worldview from an atheist.
Durbin is one of the best, and arguably the best on the street.
I would add three others to the list, men like Jason Lisle, Eli Ayala, and James White, at least who are living. I consider these four men to be the best today.
Greg Bahnsen would be the best ever, but he passed in the mid 90s.

The rainfall intensity required for that amount of water in 40 days would be 2 orders of magnitude greater than anything ever measured. The erosion would have been catastrophic and no farming could have happened for 100s of years after
But we know there isn't enough water so...

I wasn’t referring to interpretation but to definitions/meaning.
Equivocation is specifically using different meanings of a word within an argument and pretending there’s only one meaning (eg. faith in the sun rising tomorrow = faith in gods.)
SciP(h)er retweeted
The definitions aren’t interchangeable, the word is often the same and can often be changed to separate the definition being used.

Killing is not always wrong. Murder is a very specific case of killing.
R@p3 is always wrong in my book. But that is not what objective means. Objective means some external, fixed idea of morality which, even if it existed, we wouldn't have access too.

Then you’d be demonstrating you’re either amazingly unaware of reality or completely dishonest.
Disagreements between Christian interpretations demonstrate that’s unlikely at best, having only translations requiring interpretation makes it even less likely.

Not according to your bible.
I’m sure you could come up with a situation where they are less wrong than the alternative. Your bible certainly does.
Hence why ethics are actually situational.

Maybe both. But in either case, we USE competing brain systems to do moral reasoning, which often argue internally. Helps explain how the supposed god commanded morality (likewise human invention) get so odd
