Caring a lot about harnesses rn feels similar to caring about tabs vs spaces
We're exploring new application composition, rendering, and dynamic integration capabilities in Module Federation, with Modern.js as one of the integration scenarios.
Along the way, I turned our E2E tests into side-by-side visual demos to make capability differences easier to see and test.
More coming in Q4! These capabilities will also be exposed as framework-agnostic APIs, so any application can benefit. 👀

I didn't pass the Anthropic Cyber Verification Program because I use the personal account sponsored by Anthropic. Note: Node.js does not have a Claude company account.
At this point, using top AI models for security is becoming a matter for the few elected.
How are we supposed to keep Node.js and other critical infrastructure safe?

You can now select TanStack Start in create-rsbuild too
TanStack CLI now supports Rsbuild! 🦀
Create your next TanStack app with:
npx @tanstack/cli create my-app
Select React → Rsbuild, and start building.

It's easy to tell when someone builds something they actually use. That is why most software isn't that great, because the builders don't use it.

I tried t3 code and it was what I was looking for.
I didn’t know what t3 code is so I wasted handful amount of tokens to build it from scratch…

We’re also pushing Rstack and MF further within ByteDance, where we continually find and address bottlenecks in codebases with 10M+ lines of code

Most of ByteDance runs on federation. Over 20k repos, 50k engineers, tens of thousands of remotes.
We are the world’s largest deployment by an order of magnitude vs the next largest deployer. I also created federation and my team owns rspack as well.

Rspack 1.0 is only two years old, but these numbers make it feel a generation behind 🫢
I hope we’ll say the same about 2.x when 3.0 ships

Huge thanks to @James_Elicx for helping merge @nstlopez's work so quick. Big win for MF on Vinext.
Check this out vinext.dev/docs/guides/modul…
@ScriptedAlchemy they should have just added MF, still years later lol

Less duplicate code. Smaller bundles. 📦
We've improved Rspack's chunking algorithm to reduce duplicate modules across chunks.
In a large production project, this change resulted in:
• -2.53% less raw JS size
• -1.51% fewer chunks

I swear, half of helping people learn how to use AI comes down to just saying: "Did you ask your agent this question?"

it's sad that some engineers will never have the pleasure of being absolutely ripped to shreds during a human code review

I showed a demo to my current team yesterday about rustifying our huge react project’s build tool through Rsbuild. And the response was incredible. I mean 47s to 4s for local dev. 4mins to 22s for building. We wouldnt have achieved this drastic without your team!
