Revolut: Europe's most valuable startup ($200B) just showed the world its AI strategy. Every company will end up copying it. At the start of this year, Revolut leaned on the frontier labs. Its 2,000 engineers used Claude Code and Codex, and some burned $1,000 to $10,000 a month each. The bills kept climbing, and the returns weren't there. So Revolut switched its default to an open-source model called GLM. All it needs is GPUs, which it rents from Together AI. The results, by Revolut's own count: - The bill is about a tenth of what it paid OpenAI and Anthropic - Engineers get unlimited tokens instead of spending caps - Coding time is down 60% and lead time is down 70% That's the chart below. Revolut still uses Claude and GPT, but only as "the exception," for the tasks they do best. Everything else runs on open source. So here's the question I keep coming back to: how many use cases can companies really justify sending to frontier models? My answer is very few. Plenty of companies still route everything to OpenAI and Anthropic today. For how long? I think open source ends up handling the vast majority of corporate AI work, and frontier models get a short list of the hardest jobs. That's a problem for labs whose revenue forecasts assume unlimited growth. If you appreciate unpopular takes, follow me @m0xt_ for more.

I was kicked out of my cancer support groups for sharing this. One month later, my PET scan proved them wrong." 🚨 When you are diagnosed with a 6 cm lung mass, you don't care about the politics. You care about survival. This patient took a metabolic and holistic approach to starve the tumor from all angles. The result after just 2-3 weeks? The brain MRI and PET scan showed no spread. The 6 cm mass had shrunk, and the entire outer layer was now inactive, dead tissue. Here is the exact strategy they used. Fasting and diet are 50% of the battle. 🔥 The Metabolic Protocol: 🔹 Calculated Prolonged Fasting: Never the same fasting window twice. Drink water with salt, green tea, ginger, turmeric, and black pepper. This forces the body into autophagy (cellular cleanup). 🔹 Targeting Fuel: Cancer cells feed on glucose (sugar) and glutamine (protein). The goal is to starve them, then let the meds go in and eliminate them. 🔹 The Meds: Ivermectin and Fenbendazole (started low, then doubled after 2 weeks if tolerated). 🔹 The Daily Stack: Vitamin D3 (20,000 IU), Vitamin C (6-8k mg), Selenium, and a powerful morning blend of raw garlic, apple cider vinegar, and extra virgin olive oil on an empty stomach. 🔹 The Environment: 30-45 minutes of sweating exercise, deep breathing to enter apoptosis (cell death), and daily sun exposure. 🧬 The Rules of the Fast: You have to track your numbers. You need a device for this. Blood glucose cannot drop below 50 mg/dL. Blood ketones cannot exceed 8.0 mmol/L. GKI (Glucose Ketone Index) should ideally be 1 or less. When you break the fast, you break it with nutrient-dense bone broth and glutamine inhibitors (like Berberine) to ensure the cancer cells can't feed on the protein. They want you to believe standard care is the only way. But people are doing the research, changing their biology, and forcing their bodies to heal. ⚠️ Not medical advice this is one patient's extreme personal protocol. Fasting and high-dose supplements can be dangerous. Always consult an oncologist or metabolic specialist.

I tend to be a pessimist, but here is some optimism for you: Islam has been defeated in Iran. On a cultural, societal and national level. The islamic regime consists of 100 year old mullahs and 75 year old IRGC terrorists. Meanwhile, Iran's youth has never been more fiercely anti-islam than they are right now. Mosques are shutting down. Arabic/islamic baby names are plummeting. Ancient Persian heritage is embraced more than ever before. And soon, the chains of the barbarian regime known as the islamic republic will be destroyed. After this 47 year long dark night ends, there will be a bright future. We will win.

Californians, read this and let it change your vote on Tuesday!
In 1835, a Young French Aristocrat Predicted the Exact Bureaucratic Trap Threatening the West Today Before the philosopher Alexis de Tocqueville ever set foot in America, radical tyranny had already scarred his family. During the French Revolution’s Reign of Terror, left-wing Jacobin zealots guillotined his great-grandfather and threw his newlywed parents into a Paris dungeon. Waiting daily for the executioner's blade, his father’s hair turned snow-white at the age of twenty-one. Only the sudden fall of Robespierre spared his parents' lives by a matter of hours, allowing Alexis to be born a decade later. Raised in the shadow of state terror, Tocqueville became obsessed with a single question: why did the French pursuit of utopian equality end in a bloodbath, while the American Revolution produced the freest, most prosperous republic on earth? In 1831, at just twenty-five years old, he convinced the French government to send him to the United States under the mundane bureaucratic cover of inspecting American prisons. Once he arrived, he spent nine months traveling seven thousand miles by stagecoach, steamboat, and horseback to study the soul of the American citizen. His observations became Democracy in America, one of the most brilliant political analyses ever written. Tocqueville realized that American greatness rested on three pillars: fierce individual self-reliance, decentralized local communities, and a strong foundation of religious morality. Whenever Americans saw a problem, they formed a local group and fixed it themselves rather than begging a distant politician for help. Yet as he studied the young republic, Tocqueville foresaw a chilling vulnerability. He realized that a proud, armed citizenry would always fight back against an obvious military dictator. Therefore, future tyrants would abandon whips and chains in favor of welfare, cradle-to-grave safety, and endless administrative rules. They would conquer free citizens by offering to manage their lives in the name of compassion. Describing this future nanny state in 1840, Tocqueville wrote a passage that reads like a headline from today: "Above this race of men stands an immense and tutelary power, which takes upon itself alone to secure their gratifications and to watch over their fate... It seeks to keep them in perpetual childhood. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd... till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd." Tocqueville called this system "soft despotism." Nearly two centuries ago, he understood that when citizens trade personal responsibility for government security, the state gladly reduces them to dependent children. Every bloated regulatory agency, speech code, and entitlement program today operates on the exact blueprint he exposed. Liberty rarely perishes overnight in a violent coup; it erodes quietly when a free people allow bureaucrats to become their shepherds.

"I am truly perplexed that so many of my friends are against another mosque being built. I think it should be the goal of everyone living in a town to be tolerant regardless of their religious beliefs. Thus the mosque should be allowed, in an effort to promote tolerance." "That is why I also propose that two nightclubs be opened next door to the mosque; thereby promoting tolerance from within the mosque. We could call one of the clubs, which would be gay, "The Turban Cowboy," and the other, a topless bar, would be called "You Mecca Me Hot." "Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork, and adjacent to that an open-pit barbecue pork restaurant, called " Iraq of Ribs." “Across the street there could be a lingerie store called "Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret," with sexy mannequins in the window modeling the goods", and on the other side a liquor store called "Morehammered." "All of this would encourage Muslims to demonstrate the tolerance they demand of non Muslims.” Yes we should promote tolerance, and you can do your part by passing this on. And if you are not laughing or smiling at this point... It is either past your bedtime, or it's midnight at the oasis and time to put your camel to bed!!

A aberração matemática disso é assombrosa.

Scientists found a way to flush Alzheimer’s plaque out of the brain in minutes. Without any surgery and drugs. Your brain has a waste-clearance network called the glymphatic system. It flushes out toxic proteins and dead cells. But it only really activates during deep, slow-wave sleep. If you don't sleep, the trash piles up. Over time, that buildup leads to cognitive decline and Alzheimer's. Until today. Researchers just published a paper proving they can manually trigger this cleaning cycle. Without you ever going to sleep. They used 40.68 MHz ultrashort waves (USW) beamed non-invasively into the brain. Within 10 minutes, the brain's fluid flow rapidly accelerated. The waves artificially synchronized the neurons into a Delta state, the exact frequency of deep sleep. This forced the brain's water channels to open and start flushing out the system. They tested it on mice with traumatic brain injuries and Alzheimer's pathology. The brain swelling dropped. The toxic proteins were cleared out. Cognitive deficits actually improved. No surgery. No massive chemical interventions. Just a frequency.

A San Francisco startup says it just turned mercury into real gold, and their own math says gold is one of the cheapest things their machine can make. Aim it at a different metal and it makes a cancer drug ingredient worth tens of billions of dollars a gram. Here's how it works. When you fuse two kinds of hydrogen, deuterium and tritium, every single reaction kicks out a neutron moving at 14.1 MeV, which is absurdly fast. Fire one into mercury-198 and it knocks another neutron loose on the way through, so two come out and you're left with mercury-197. Give that a few days and it decays into gold-197, the only stable kind of gold there is. The whole trick needs neutrons above about 6 MeV, and regular nuclear reactors barely make those, while fusion makes one every time it fires. Now swap the mercury for radium-226. Same reaction, one neutron in and two out, and you end up with radium-225, which decays into actinium-225. Novartis is building its next prostate cancer drug around actinium-225, and it's so scarce it sells by the millicurie, roughly $1,200 to $2,500 apiece. Price it by the gram and you're into the tens of billions of dollars, for a material so radioactive nobody could safely hold a gram of it anyway. Marathon's team actually put a dollar value on a single fusion neutron in a paper this year. Use it to make electricity and it's worth about $3 × 10⁻²⁰. Gold comes in at $2.6 × 10⁻²⁰, basically a wash. Molybdenum-99, which goes into about 80% of nuclear medicine scans, is worth $2.6 × 10⁻¹⁷ a neutron. Actinium-225 is worth about $10⁻¹⁰, around 3 billion times what the electricity's worth. That's why fusion people should care. Every fusion company you've heard of is chasing electricity, and selling electricity only pays once the plasma puts out something like 10 to 22 times the energy you pump in to heat it. The best result so far, at JET in England, was about a third. Add gold on the side and Marathon's math says you break even around 3x. For molybdenum-99, the number is 0.001x. So a machine that gives back one-thousandth of the energy you feed it can still make money, as long as the neutrons hit the right metal. By their numbers, a 3 megawatt machine running way below breakeven could cover the whole world's supply of molybdenum-99, which today comes from splitting uranium in a handful of research reactors. Today's experimental fusion machines already beat the gain that job needs. Their second post basically says this out loud. Marathon now describes itself as an isotope company for radiopharma. Their chart shows roughly 390 targeted radiotherapy trials. Pluvicto, the prostate cancer drug Novartis launched at $42,500 a dose, did $1.9 billion in sales last year. Gold still matters to them, just later. It's about a $700 billion a year market, and Marathon's paper figures it could soak up around 2 terawatts of fusion capacity, which is roughly the scale where fusion actually moves the grid. So the plan is to sell cancer isotopes out of small machines now and use gold to pay for the giant ones, years before electricity can pay for itself.
Last month, we demonstrated high-rate alchemy: turning mercury into real, stable gold, beating CERN’s record by a factor of 10. Last week, we enriched isotopes in the world’s most powerful plasma centrifuge, beating the Soviet record that stood for 40 years. Now, we’re building a fusion reactor in San Francisco to achieve record power density.
