Our state's competitive edge comes from being a low-tax, pro-growth jurisdiction, and any move toward an income tax would fundamentally undermine the 'Cowboy State' identity that attracts residents and investment to our region. Ultimately, keeping Wyoming's no-income-tax status is a matter of discipline. If we continue to hold the line on new revenue streams, we force our government to operate with the same efficiency and frugality that every rancher and small business owner in this state already practices. We do not have a revenue problem; we have a spending culture that needs to be brought back in check.
