Yep lots of tradeoffs, originally I wanted to create Megatron with the same quality as Optimus - but I couldn't justify investing that much effort again. So he has a custom build, but not modeled painstakingly like the main Bot.

Yeah I def wanted that movie entrance scene where he barrels over them! Claude/Codex created a starting point but it was hilariously bad - it probably took hundreds of Blender MCP iterations to get it perfect

Here's some more action from my Transformers game, showing how Optimus can smack down Cons with melee moves, his blaster, and of course by ramming them in truck mode! Created with Threejs, Blender, Claude, and Codex.
I wanted Optimus to look 100% accurate, with a recognizable supporting cast (26 Bots/Cons) and locations created via procedural library. Getting the robots to look good in 3D was the hardest part, even though the agents had access to character sheets and toy schematics.
Optimus is 100% cartoon-accurate in robot mode; his truck mode is a "reverse" Missing Link - what would he look like if his G1 toy was prioritized for robot instead of vehicle mode?
I'm making a Transformers game set in an alternate G1 movie story - you play as Optimus in Autobot City and on Cybertron. It's my first game focused on pure action and fighting; built with Opus 5.5 and Astra/Sol using Three.js, Blender, and Web Audio. Let me know what you think!

My original post from September seems to have disappeared... but posting this update did inspire me to improve the mobile UI and controls :)
Oktoberfest season in Germany is over, but you can still enjoy the Wiesn with my game - you play as a waiter to serve the most beers while the band is playing a song, without messing up. Created with Opus 5.5 using Three.js and Web Audio. It doesn't get more Bavarian than this - O'zapft is!

This is crazy! Are there also hallways and elevators to get to the rooms? How are you even streaming this to players? The bandwidth must be huge

Thanks for clarifying! But doesn't that make the game huge in terms of MB for initialization/streaming?

Crazy detailed! Curious what Blender bits are actually used and the tradeoff between fidelity v. download size? I mean - Blender generates external assets I assume?

Yes, I usually still spend weeks to months refining the overnight "one shot" results of even the best AI models (obviously leveraging AI). Not just technical work but game feel, content, progression, balance, art, controls, etc.

A lot of the games being posted currently look similar within their genres - would be interesting to learn what Opus 5.5 was trained on!

Brilliant! Definitely need to finally try Spawn for my next game

Awesome, so much detail! Curious if you had to give it any performance optimization instructions or did it manage that on its own?
I made an Oktoberfest game and asked Opus 5.5 to create a viral video. It was quite creative and put the camera in "interesting" angles that wouldn't otherwise be used. 😅

Wow, incredible! (I should not have watched the end 😅) Curious based on your other related videos whether the geometries are based on actual anatomy, or is it whatever wound up looking plausible?
Does ultracode make that qualitative difference over, say, max effort with many iterations? (When I ask Claude what effort to use, it never suggests ultracode.)

Cool! Any thoughts on Sonnet 5.5 vs Opus and suggested effort level?
