Our paper "Mapping in Harmony: Co-designing Conflict Management on OpenStreetMaps" is now out in IJHCS! In this project, we co-designed user-centred alternatives to managing conflicts on online peer production platforms like OSM.
2/ We found that users prefer UIs with gentle, non-intrusive reminders of good behaviour, visible profile info that can provide context for choosing conflict management approaches, and incremental UI changes to minimise user resistance.
