I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

Hi! My name's Michaela. You may know me as the former CMO of Neopets and @coolcats, & the marketing lead for Supercell esports (Clash of Clans, etc).
I'm a gamer at heart & I've spent the greater half of the last 10 yrs marketing & developing games.
Before that, I was this nerdy kid who played Neopets. I lived & breathed Neopia, often at the expense of IRL activities and playtime. 😂
I learned to write, draw, and code. I immersed myself in the virtual stock market, guilds, forums, and shops... and I grew up to be a marketer and entrepreneur (and then, CMO of Neopets itself).
This journey in the games industry has not always been easy and certainly not painless, but I'd never trade it for anything in the world.
The gaming community is precious, and niche, and weird, and loud, & all the things that shape the best of people. When the industry is unkind, the love of community prevails.
With that said... I've been itching to carve out my own little space. I'm launching socials for @manyworldsco ... my own dream web3 game, which follows a simple principle:
ship first. sell later.
I'm not promising a blue chip NFT collection, a token, or any other means to fill your bags. I *am* promising to do my best to bring you guys a GOOD game, one that will hopefully make you smile. Everything else is gravy.
'Many Worlds' is a game that mixes the worlds of quaint, nostalgic digital pet experiences like Neopets, Pet Society, Animal Crossing, and Petz... and couples them with scientific principles (quantum theory, evolution, genetics).
A cozy side-scroller with customization, pet collecting, exploration of themed worlds (Candy land! Retro! Cyberpunk! etc), quests, & more...
