Before seeing this I would have considered “delve” proof that a piece WAS written by a college student

Being a parent w/little kids in school and watching these supervillain cabinet picks roll is horrific. I’m nauseous and preemptively exhausted at how much research I’m going to have to do to stay ahead of what’s coming

Lol thanks, it’s just weird for her to rewrite history using the paranoia of today. I loved sleepaway camp and definitely plan to send my kids when they’re ready!!

I did a book event this week where I talked about reading a naughty book while at sleepaway camp (a formative experience that made me a writer) and my mom (who sent me to that camp!) freaked out bc in 2024 retrospect she now feels neglectful

Def but I also see certain notable mommy accounts on here posting smug, sarcastic things like “Ooh feel sorry for me, I get to sleep in, snuggle my babies, and rest when I need instead of going to an office!!” I don’t think anybody chooses a deficit of rest

I WISH their existence had any bearing on my choices

I work a 9-to-5 even though rich people exist because their existence just isn’t relevant to my life over here!!

Also why would a man choose a 9-to-5 when this exists?? I mean

Oh yeah it’s ridiculous for all the reasons, but even if we read it as “Why would anyone choose to work for a living when she could be a SAHM with a lovely family and home,” it’s still ridiculous because those options are not available to all!!!!

Why would any woman ever choose to do anything other than live in fantastical luxury

As someone who grew up in a community where 2-income households were the norm, I’ll never not be confused by these engagement-bait questions, like do groceries not cost money on the other side of the tracks? Do women all just visit the husband store on their 18th birthdays?

I rarely say yes to finished copies of books because I’m happy with the galley/PDF. BUT when one of my favorite books is out in pb I have to say yes. @ShandersWrites @GraywolfPress

I’m not saying it’s the most diverse room I’ve ever seen but both the masked number and the white number in the pic seem roughly in proportion with gen pop….
