Our vision is to support and showcase the city's wealth of artistic talent and pin Sheffield firmly on the Cultural map. We have courses, co-working, consultancy, events & productions across all genres & media. We're very friendly too, so pop down for a chinwag!
Everyone's got a book inside them apparently. Do you think it's time to let yours out? (It looks a bit cramped).
What about this then: new online novel-writing course with accolade-laden @LauraWakeWriter from 29th September. For more deets email: [email protected]

A privilege to be one of the judges. It was a very high standard of entry and in the end two winners were chosen. There is an anthology available of the top-10 stories. Details available on the Kurious Twitter feed.
And the winners are:

Drumroll please! 🥁
With circa 200 entries for our #shortstorycomp, the panel readers & judges were completely wowed but whittled it down to a superb shortlist of 10.
But deciding on just one winner was nigh on impossible, which is why there are two....
Well comrades. That's your lot.
Massive high-five to everyone who partook in our scribing shenanigans & kept our hearts warm throughout lockdown. It's been a blast. 💥
Until next time... 🎈
Last and definitely least it's @sgmellorwriter with The Spoon Award in recognition for his passion for spoons, not to mention his propensity for lying about all the bands he's never been in. 🥄🥄
I hereby honour @TheFailureBaler with The King Prize in recognition of her character-crafting capabilities & a special nod to #FACADE! Her writing always makes us laugh, cry or think. What more could we ask for? 👑👑
NEARLY THERE WITH THE CLAPPING. 👏
I hereby crown @alancfrost Viscount of Versatility in recognition of his shape-shifting scribery, genre-bending prowess & comedy chops. You'll always be our favourite gangster Frostipops. 🕶️ 👑
Yes KEEP bloody clapping. 👏
I hereby crown @Flying_Trunk_ Majesty of Magical Realism in recognition of her extraordinary imagination. She's carted us all over the globe & beyond, accompanied by some of the fiercest femme fatales we've ever encountered. 👑 🔥
Yes keep clapping. 👏
I hereby crown @Becca_Baciata Queen of The Twist in recognition of her supreme collection of Killer Last Lines. She never failed to whip the rug out from under our feet. We fell over countless times but it was worth it. 🗡️ 👌
Everybody clap again please. 👏
I hereby crown @NatashaCDavies The Monarch of The Macabre in recognition of her devilishly dark scribing skills. 🖤 👑
Everybody clap please. 👏
