ALT Our campaign began way back in June of last year, built on a foundation of opening up state government to everyone — no matter our background, bank balance or zip code — and it's been the guiding light of this journey. I’m so incredibly grateful to all the people we met with, learned from and worked alongside. So many of you, from the Berkshires to the Cape, made this mission your own. Thank you to my family, friends, loved ones, neighbors, and all of Team Diana for your incredible and unwavering hard work and support. I am humbled to be the Democratic nominee for Massachusetts State Auditor, and I will continue to champion bold, meaningful change for working families. I commend Chris Dempsey and his supporters for running an energetic race, and I thank him for being part of this process. Our democracy is made stronger when there are those willing to put themselves out there. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

ALT TEXT: It is not up to an employer to decide when their workers can form a union—that choice belongs to the workers. On Beacon Hill, a Senate Counsel review is not the final law of the land, and the 40 Senators are in the business of making laws. Senate Leadership isn't rejecting our union because of legality, but because of willpower. Legislative staff organized after decades of unresponsive leadership, who failed to retain talented public servants. Today, Senate President Karen Spilka continued this pattern by closing the door on her own staff. Over the next few days, the Massachusetts State House Employee Union will be meeting with staff to plan next steps, but our pursuit of an equal, just, and supportive legislative workplace is just beginning.
