On March 16, 2018, exactly 3 years ago to the day, I sat down for an extensive (75 minute long) interview with Matt Hall and John Watkinson of @larvalabs to discuss their now legendary Project, CryptoPunks.

World Cup is pretty awesome - and playing exactly as it should, true to form, as it has for decades:
1. Group Stage - everyoneβs happy to be back, low stakes, festive party atmosphere, loose play, LOTSA goals
2. Knockout Stage: ultimate stakes, loser goes home, things get serious, tight play, low scores or ties, leading to dramatic, nerve wrecking, sudden death penalty kick shootoutsβ¦

"Make Ripples"
Imho, maintaining relevancy as an artist in the web3 space is not about "up only", it's about having consistent moments that create ripples of attention. I touched on this concept in my presentation at NFC Summit.
When you release "drops", it can cause momentum that spreads across current and past works. Example: My release in Lisbon a week or so ago has created a ripple that lead to sales across NimBuds, Blossoms, and more. That ripple will slowly dissipate until there's another attention moment. Ripples don't have to be drops, they can be a viral tweet, a big collector sharing your work, showing work at an event like Basel this week, or some other catalyst.
Here you can see moments in the past year where I had clusters of secondary sales represented by ripples. You can see data chart live on my market dashboard on my website.

I realize now that Iβve always curated AND self-produced my own shows.
Only recently in ETHCC Cannes I was hired to curated and was given a venue and budget to work with.
But for all of my shows before that I always paid out of pocket everything and everyone.
I paid for artwork production and framing, Iβve paid for shipping transportation and accommodation of my artists, Iβve paid for venue and booth, Iβve paid for food and beverage, Iβve paid for service, security and handling staff.
Iβve never had and never looked for private or public sponsoring because to me that what a gallerist do ! (And I donβt even take 50%)
And I realize I likely paid (despite being just a guy in his 20βs trying to do cool stuff ) much more thing than platforms whom have done funding rounds in millions and despite not having huge budget I manage to pull out show that had nothing to envy from the one they could organized.
My NFT Paris booth was quite an example of that, managed to make one of the most memorable booth of the edition with less than 5000β¬.
I didnβt cut cost, just did a lot myself, had quote in the 5 figures range for the booth, ended up buying and cutting the wood myself and building the wall myself.
Countless of exemples, more my next show schedule to open in July in Paris Iβll be doing that all over again but to a much higher degree. I think Iβm done trying to make gold with copper and working with peanuts budgets.
I want to try my luck commuting 5 figure budget, making precious gem from raw diamonds and I got to admit for the first time Iβve been thinking of getting sponsors.
With a 20% commission (got a gallery partner) I need to sell more than I ever did just to keep the light on, but I guess thatβs what conviction in an artist is ! Iβm all in !
So if you can help with a RT and intro to a collector or a potential sponsor please do !
This how we build
