A policeman in Cape Town lives in a shack. An airport assistant lives in a shack. A bank teller in Cape Town lives in a shack. Same jobs. Same salaries. In Joburg, that same policeman owns a home in a middle-class suburb. That’s not a coincidence that’s what DA governance does to a city. It prices out the people who keep it running. Don’t bring that model to Joburg….DA is Not Good for Joburg. Never say I didn’t tell you
Cape Town international airport at a stand still … taxi strike affecting even airports… no staff could arrive and entire system collapsed… where’s @Our_DA @geordinhl
This is why that wall should NOT go up. It’s good that everyone is affected. The DA wants to be able to ignore violence on black communities without having to deal with it.
They must govern effectively. For all.

Yoh, HAI, MAN! A UNIVERSITY is raising LGBTQ flags, and we're supposed to accept that this is what progress looks like? I'm sorry, but when did sexuality become such a defining feature of public life that institutions feel the need to advertise their position on it?
When is Women's Month, where is this same enthusiasm for women? Where are the flags? Where is the urgency? Why does LGBTQ visibility seem to demand so much public attention, while other issues affecting society don't always receive the same spectacle?
I'm tired of a world where everything must be politicised, every institution must make a statement, and every identity must be publicly affirmed to prove that we're progressing.
A university has students struggling with tuition, unemployment waiting beyond graduation, and serious questions about the future they're preparing for. Yet here we are, putting up flags.

When you sign your pledge, put ActionSA’s manifesto alongside it. Let Tshwane see what you’re signing up for: open borders, scrapping BEE and making white people richer. Stop campaigning on deportations while hiding your actual policies.
🇿🇦🗳️Tomorrow, I will sign my 2026 Elections Pledge as a binding contract with the residents of Tshwane for the next five years.
The 2026 Elections Pledge forms part of ActionSA’s Last Call to Fix Broken Cities engagement.
I will join ActionSA Mayoral Candidate for the City of Johannesburg, Mr Herman Mashaba, and ActionSA Ekurhuleni Mayoral Candidate, Xolani Khumalo.

Hoods in Cape Town have looked the same since 94 but the DA tells you that they have been running the city of Cape Town well…
Exactly! 🙂↔️

The Department of Health reached out to the organisers of JHB Pride so they could go give FREE Mpox vaccines on the day and the organisers asked the department to pay R5000. That is CRAZY! “Pride of Africa” you ought to be ashamed of yourselves.

How did the team not know when I was in communication with two of them that we would have to leave at some point due to other engagements because the debate had not started on the communicated time?
APOLOGY | IOL would like to extend a formal apology to the EFF Joburg mayoral candidate @drtlaleng Mofokeng for an incorrectly worded caption published last night during the IOL Town Hall Discussion at the Joburg Theatre. Dr Mofokeng did indeed indicate to the moderator, IOL deputy editor Lee Rondganger, that she would leave at 6pm as she had prior commitments, and this was accepted. However, this was unknown to the social media team covering the event, leading to the unfortunate caption that was published. IOL immediately removed the posts once the matter was clarified during a debriefing session.
We apologize once more to Dr Mofokeng and the EFF.
