Ooh what did those who fought in the Far East and Africa get out of it? Or those who fought in the Falklands and the Gulf Wars Were they building the EU too? Labour are vile to hijack today, and then insist no one call them out on it telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

Impressive for Lisa Nandy to put her foot in it so badly she’s fending off two separate accusations of disrespecting the war dead on Remembrance Sunday

Lisa Nandy complains about the Tories politicising Remembrance Sunday... And then immediately politicises Remembrance Sunday herself by saying the WW2 generation sacrificed themselves for the EU's Erasmus+ scheme These people have no shame whatsoever

On Remembrance Sunday Lisa Nandy has claimed that no one in Britain has had to fight a war since WW2. What about the 7,193 British soldiers who have sacrificed their lives in conflicts ranging from the Korean War to Afghanistan? While she erases their service, the country will never forget their bravery. Remembrance Sunday is a sacred day, not to be cynically used by Labour to justify closer ties to the EU. Whatever the merits of their argument - and I believe reopening the Brexit wars is both a colossal waste of energy and a strategic disaster when national sovereignty is more important than ever - this is not the day for it. It’s disappointing that Nandy and Andy Burnham, who presumably agreed to this, have failed so badly to meet the moment.

This is why we have 2 minutes of silence, one for the dead and one for those who survived War scars those who fight, and those scars aren’t always visible. My grandfather was changed by war and being a PoW. It’s not just the two WWs, it’s the other conflicts too Remember Them
On #RemembranceDay we rightly think of those who died. But pause & think of those survivors of the Great War too: men who walked to the edge and came back, were left with debilitating injuries, and memories they would struggle to escape from. For them, the Great War never ended.

#wewillrememberthem Thinking of Harry, Ken Hay and many more today. Treasure them while we can
This is devastating news. Harry was so full of life. I will never forget him dancing at the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Arromanches, and I won’t be alone

This sums up JoJo’s character, and what she would do, rather than summing up women
Russel Brands biggest crime in my opinion is being an egotistical womanizer who like to talk up his conquests. Let’s face it. He’s no Brad Pitt. He probably struggled to pull a woman prior to his fame. I have no doubt he completely fabricated the number of women he bedded purely for shock factor. It’s clear that the women that threw themselves on Russ after he acquired his fame and fortune are now looking to profit off their roll in the hay with him. I would say the old MeToo movement has evolved into the MeThree movement! Not all women are victims and not all women are honest. Why do we always automatically believe the woman! I am a woman and even I believe the majority of women are just purely opportunists out to make a quick buck! #RussellBrand

The thing is though Jonesy, for years you’ve played guilt by association with people you dislike. Live by the sword, die by the sword. Rapist’s mate Jones.

Live cross examination was always a great way of testing the truth. Sadly even that principle has been lost in Scotland index cases. We now have a special class of witness and they also get the questions in advance.
Scotland likes to congratulate itself on its commitment to justice, equality and human rights. But what happens when the institutions entrusted with protecting those principles become so consumed by an ideological agenda that they begin to abandon them? I’ve written about the erosion of fair trial safeguards, the presumption of innocence and the growing reluctance to challenge Scotland’s justice system. edgraham100.substack.com/p/t…

Over a 100 witnesses were spoken to. Your idea that a few women just wandered in to a police station and now he faces a jail term, is incorrect.

On Thursday I wrote about the 2014 injunction Russell Brand obtained against a woman who accused him of assault. I've now obtained the final order. It's breathtaking. She had no lawyer. No trial. Yet she was silenced for life - even barred from speaking to the police. 🧵:

Neidle has done a lot to highlight a grave injustice, and you should read his thread, and the article On this very specific point, IF Goldsmith is willing for the variation, AND she has the funds that Berki does not, then she could foot Ms Berki’s costs to make this right
Replying to @DanNeidle
I understand Jemima Goldsmith is willing to agree to the injunction being varied. I very much doubt Russell Brand is; so Ms Berki would need to fund an expensive application (or have an unusual amount of pro bono support) The injunction makes crowdfunding very difficult.

I watched the documentary about Henry on ITVx. The way his family were treated is a stain on Hampshire police. It wasn’t just the officers at the scene, it was the force as a whole The policing of that community meant the Digwa family felt they could make the choices they did

This Story Will Make Your Blood Boil. 😡 Duncan called into Jeremy Vine to talk about benefits. He’s 56, paid into the system since he was 18, and recently had to take six months off work after being diagnosed with cancer and needed help. He was refused. He got nothing. No help at all. He’s now back at work while still fighting cancer, and he wants to know why. He says what’s the point of the system if it isn’t there when you actually need it? Jeremy actually asked a decent question for once: if he’s paid tax all his life, why isn’t he at the front of the queue to reclaim his own money when he runs into trouble? Why does the system seem to prefer people who have never paid any tax at all? Good question. Somebody should be made to answer it. The welfare bill is bigger than ever, anyone and everyone seems to be claiming. Strangers turn up in boats and get given everything for free, yet a man who has worked all his life, paid into the system, and is genuinely ill gets turned down when he needs help. How is that fair? It’s not. It’s a disgrace!
