Police and Crime Commissioner @SimonFosterPCC has welcomed new statistics which show serious youth violence in the West Midlands has dropped by more than 10 per cent. The data from the Office for National Statistics shows that West Midlands Police continues to cut crime that matters most to our communities. Police and Crime Commissioner @SimonFosterPCC says Scott Green will be the new Chief Constable of West Midlands Police. It comes after Mr Green’s appointment was confirmed by the region’s Police and Crime Panel. Mr Green has been serving as Acting Chief Constable of West Midlands Police since January 2026 and has now been selected by the Commissioner as the person he wants to lead the force on a permanent basis.
