Finally got around to listening to this last night, and what a sobering insight it was. First, it's worth recognising just how impressive @Luca_Black_ comes across. For someone this young to see through the smoke and mirrors and articulate the argument so clearly is seriously impressive. Much of what he says echoes my own experience working within football, where the relationship between fan organisations and clubs has become an inconvenient checkbox to tick rather than an opportunity to strengthen the bond between ownership and the fanbase. The first rule of owning a football club should be to understand who fills the seats week in, week out — and what their experience is actually like: securing tickets, getting to games, and now enduring processes like the "ticket tout" purge. The way it's been handled suggests the club either no longer sees its current fans as its future, or is so out of touch that it simply doesn't care. My sense is the truth lies somewhere in the middle. Frankly, if anyone in the boardroom at Man United had anything about them, they'd have been straight on the phone to Luca by now, taking a hard look at how the current setup simply isn't fit for purpose. A great listen, if a sobering one. Well done to Luca for speaking out and to @DaytrippingRed & @ODonnellDale for giving him the platform tell us all about it .
