Gender inclusive spaces are important but when they come at the cost of women’s spaces while men’s spaces remain intact, they serve to perpetuate misogyny. You cannot claim inclusiveness when one sex loses more spaces and access than the other.

Reminder that nepotism is a thing and isn’t inherently wrong but when you flaunt it and gloat about it, it feels gross.

Thoughts on a xenomorph inspired cosplay for @PAXAus this year?? (Maybe I’m just manifesting an alien iso booth)

Even a QR code sent out in emails to collect badges keeps it secure without needing legal names or ID. Attendees reveal less information than creators when buying tickets, and creators are the ones at risk of doxing and stalking.

Conventions need better ways to verify creator identities. Too many times legal names are required… then leaked. If I can verify my identity with the social accounts, emails, and PayPal that should be sufficient. I should have the choice to keep my legal name fully private.

Got told I couldn’t make bubbles at ren faire because of potential allergies…. While in a field with hay…. And no dietary catering to allergies…and no rule about bubbles…. This was after making so many adults and kids day and so many people taking photos of the bubbles….
