If you couldn’t persuade us to vote for you before the election, berating us for not voting for you post election is unlikely to persuade us to vote for you in the future. Just saying.

Part access surely?
I voted Democrat today! Because I support women and immigrants. I believe men and women should have equal rights. I also believe people from all over the world should be able to make America their home. Yes, that includes people whose deeply held religious beliefs conflict with women's rights. We just need to educate them. Centuries of tradition can't be that hard to change! 💙🗳️

Yet.
What’s the most pointless thing they taught you in school that you’ve never needed even once?

There is no hope. Selling at a loss is a privilege! A privilege that should obviously be embraced by every business.
It's difficult to feel any sympathy for landlords who believe they're owed profit while exploiting tenants to cover the costs of their appreciating asset. Selling, even at loss, is a privilege I wish I had. Instead, many of us are still trapped. #EndOurCladdingScandal

Conservatives to suspend all asylum applications? Or is it nimbyism?
An asylum centre right at the heart of a quiet North Yorkshire village is an utterly shocking place to put 1250 young foreign single men. @joymorrissey @CPhilpOfficial @AlecShelbrooke

Indeed £0.26 trillion extra in two years is a mere bagatelle!
When the Torys left office the debt was £2.74 trillion. The brass neck on this bozo

Indeed e everyone can work for themselves and be a business owner!
People really think “Without business owners, there are no jobs” Is the silver bullet. But they are too dumb to realise that “Without workers, there is no business for them to own” They NEED each other!! But some of you on here think it’s ONLY workers who need employers and can’t comprehend why the owner would need staff!

The current owners are not obliged to explain anything.
Poundland was born on a market stall in Bilston and grew into a national household name. Its HQ is still here in the Black Country. The current owners need to explain why they have rejected an offer and are, instead, pursuing putting the company into administration. Our high streets need businesses with owners who want to invest, grow and back the communities they serve - communities who supported their businesses as they grew. The livelihoods of 12,000 workers nationally are on the line. As Mayor, I’ll do whatever I can to support those employees through what is undoubtably a worrying time. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/ck4g…

Welcome to Labour economic consequences!
I am deeply concerned that Poundland jobs are at risk here in constituency of #PaisleyRenfrewshireNorth in #Braehead with many constituents impacted. Poundland has filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators, putting 11,000 jobs at risk across more than 600 stores and distribution centres across the UK. I welcome PM Andy Burham's support for Poundland workers & like him, I question why the company's owners chose not to accept a viable solvent offer which @UsdawUnion say could have prevented this outcome. This situation was entirely predictable by @Poundland according to the Shop Workers Trade Union who have been monitoring the situation closely for some time. I have reached out to parliamentary colleagues to explore what options are available to assist and I hope to meet with USDAW trade union who represent Poundland workers to discuss the local issues in more detail.

Go forage! Good luck.
Cool so they don’t need someone else to pay off their mortgages. And yes people should have access to food for free like it’s the whole point of being a society.

Is it because you are renting it and not buying it? You did sign a lease?
APOLOGIES TO ANYONE WHO THINKS OWNING A HOME IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN RENTING, BUT EXPLAIN THIS TO ME. I’ve been renting the same apartment for four years. I’ve paid $1,650 every month. That’s $79,200 over four years, and I have the bank statements to prove every cent. I’ve never missed a payment. I’ve maintained the place. I’ve treated it like my own home and after all that? I have no ownership stake in the property. Just four years of rent receipts. Meanwhile, the property owner still owns the asset. My rent contributes to the income that helps cover the costs of owning it, while any equity they build belongs to them. Now, I’m not saying landlords shouldn’t make money. Property taxes, maintenance, insurance, and mortgage payments are real expenses. But here’s what I struggle to understand: Why is the only way for me to build an ownership stake in the place I live to somehow save enough money to buy property while I’m already spending a significant portion of my income on housing? I’m not asking for a free house. I’m asking why years of consistently paying for shelter don’t leave renters with any ownership in the asset they’re helping sustain. Renting doesn’t make you irresponsible but why does the system make it so difficult to turn years of housing payments into wealth?

Just put them all out of work, that’ll fix it.
“Why should I, a millionaire with 6 houses, suffer a slight loss so that those on minimum wage can afford to live, pay rent, heat their homes and feed their families?” My heart bleeds for you. Entitled fool. They’d pay people a pound a day if they could in the name of ‘profit’.

Green Party advocates end to net zero?
We've waited patiently for a plan to end neoliberalism. We won't wait anymore. We need rent controls We need a wealth tax We need *serious* cuts to energy bills Instead it's a few pence off gherkins & a payout which the experts say won't touch the sides on energy bills.

Ctrl/Alt/Delete?
What’s a polite way to tell someone, “I’m not discussing this with you because your entire understanding of the subject is built on so many interconnected misconceptions that correcting them would require uninstalling your current worldview and starting the tutorial from birth”?

Anti-inflationary you say? Please explain.
The budget had significant measures to help household budgets with these anti- inflationary measures. 👇

Nationalise Poundland now!
The apparent dismantling of Poundland, a Walsall-based business, is disgraceful Why has a viable bid been rejected in favour of breaking up the business? The owners must be called in to explain this. Poundland must be saved to protect thousands of jobs news.sky.com/story/poundland…

What could possibly go wrong?
The energy transition has to work for our communities. We know what happened in the 80s when economic transition was done badly and was done to communities. That won't happen under this government. The transition will be led by the workers as we work with unions like @GMB_union. Earlier in the week, I spoke at the @ClimateAPPG reception on A Worker-led Transition.

Perhaps reduce the minimum wage?
I'm worried about the future of Poundland after the company filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators. Up to 11,000 jobs could be at risk across the country. I've joined MPs and the trade union Usdaw in writing to the Business Secretary calling for urgent action.

Just as a general rule, if you think Brexit was more disastrous than Iraq, your opinion can be pretty merrily discarded. And if you’re prepared to rehabilitate those responsible for the latter to reverse the former, you’re a badly broken person.

Replying to @curtisdaly_
Why do business people continue to believe that government should be run like a business?!
