Smart glasses made by a 12 year old to help the blind. Yes, this is happening in Gaza! Support here: chuffed.org/project/113222-t… On September 26th, Tech From Palestine organized a hackathon showing the projects of children after 6 months of robotics and innovation. Despite the ongoing genocide, creativity remains alive in Gaza. The Sameer Project and Translating Falasteen collaborated with Tech From Palestine on the hackathon by providing transport. But this partnership didn’t end there! We plan to work together on the next cohort. The next cohort of students that will be taught and trained by Tech From Palestine will be taken from the Hasan School by The Sameer Project. We picked 100 students, 50 girls and 50 boys to participate in this amazing project. We plan to start soon but need your material support to help cover costs. The Sameer Project aid workers distributing water were shot at by the military occupation AGAIN!! Donate to our water campaign: chuffed.org/project/help-us-… Today, October 13th, The Sameer Project team was distributing water in Al Sanfoor area in Tuffah, Gaza City, when suddenly the military occupation fired shots around the water truck. As you can see in the video, little children and our team were running away to hide from the shootings. In what world is this acceptable? Every week or so, we have an incident of bombing or shooting near The Sameer Project team. Multiple team members have shrapnels in their bodies and their only crime is providing food and water to the community. The Sameer Project will not be deterred and we will continue to provide aid in the areas near the yellow line. May God protect our wonderful team and all the Palestinian in Gaza. School is officially in session at Al-Hassan School! Give to our school: chuffed.org/project/113327-r… To welcome returning students back and help new students feel at home, the teachers and team filled the first day with games, laughter, and moments of joy. These children will spend the coming academic year learning together inside Al-Hassan School in Refaat Alareer Camp. After everything they have endured, the first day of school should still feel exciting. They deserve a place where they can learn, play, build friendships, and imagine a future beyond displacement. May Allah bless the teachers and team for all of their efforts to give these children an education, stability, and moments of happiness. And protect these kids from all harm, giving them an opportunity to learn and flourish. Ameen.
