New maximum wind record 🎖🌬 Wind generated 22,243MW of electricity on 15 December at 6:30pm to achieve a new maximum wind record. This beats the previous record of 21,998MW from 10 January 2023. 📱 Download the NESO app to see previous records and live generation data. 👇
Hello @neso_energy I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels the colour change to your app makes it really difficult to decide when the grid is greenest. Please can we add some green/amber/red back. You use it on the regional map!

Britain has seen quite the decline in carbon intensity from electricity and 2024 is a landmark year:
- Wind and solar combined are set to overtake gas as the largest electricity supplier
- The last coal power station was closed
- There was a record breaking offshore wind auction

This feels unlikely, but here goes: Would anyone with Oasis tickets consider swapping them for a portrait of Margaret Thatcher?

This advert in a West London mews for some of Britain’s earliest electric car charging stations. Dates from the early 1900s with charging locations on Gloucester Road, Sloane St and Blackheath. The wheel turns full circle.
