Okay, here we go, thread of threads. Starting with the Toy VIII thread since folks seemed to like it. I'll add more as I have time. Some threads I did as quote tweets because I'm stupid. As I get time I'll redo those and add them. Usual caveats, don't reply here, blah blah blah

OH LAWD HE COMIN
Imagine sitting on top of a mountain, thinking you are safe, and a massive grizzly casually runs up it. I can't believe how athletic these bears are. If you are on the menu, nothing will stop it. A couple years ago there was a hiker in Waterton Park that tried to out climb a grizzly who just kept climbing up to him. He had to get rescued off.

Go Vote. I voted early - from home, in my slippers. Mail-in ballots give voters more time to research all these propositions! #Vote #Elections2026 #footpics

Kraft CINNAMON ROLL Mac & Cheese is 100% real and it's headed to Walmart stores now! This will take Kraft Mac & Cheese and give it that sweet cinnamon roll flavor twist... how that's going to turn out good, I don't know, but I want to find out! You can find this exclusively at Walmart for a limited time - I'll update as soon as it arrives on shelves. Are you trying @kraftmacncheese Cinnamon Roll!? #kraft #macandcheese #walmart #walmartfinds #kraftmacandcheese

This car didn't get stolen by Cleetus and Joe Bob from down at the trailer park.
Yes. Having known some ultra-wealthy people, I think ultra-wealthy people get bored and get up to shit thats often illegal and would likely make normal people's hair curl up. Why do you ask?

Not sure it's been fully appreciated that millions of "normies" now believe the USA is governed by a cabal of "pedophile rapists," and political PR hustlers have clearly detected a big public appetite for pushing this stuff on the eve of an election

Wow. I remember somebody *giving* me one of these and me thinking I should be charging them to haul it off
Right on the money as far as Hagerty is concerned, the seller is asking $19,500 or offer for this Fury-based '75 Road Runner. Thoughts? barnfinds.com/one-year-only-…

Unlike most of the dealers we've looked at, Fencl-Tufo survived the '60s nicely, finally selling out in 1990 and eventually becoming Sunrise Chevrolet which is still in business

Fencl-Tufo sold several Yenko Dueces, including the orange car pictured here. The only two dealers known to have sold Dueces in Chicago were Fencl-Tufo and Mancuso Chevrolet.

Fencl-Tufo gets lost in shuffle compared to Nickey or Yenko but they were a huge volume musclecar dealer (they probably sold more high-perf cars than Yenko did). They were a Yenko dealer as well as selling several COPO Chevelles and Camaros.

Brigance sold a ton of "regular" Chevy muscle, including a few L89s and LS6 Chevelles by the truckload. The '68 Z pictured was a Brigance-sold car. Ed Schoenthaler was head of high-performance sales and claimed they sold several COPOs but there are no Brigance COPOs known

Brigance was another high-perf oriented Chevy dealer. They weren't known for swaps but they did sufficient volume to open a separate showroom dedicated to musclecars down the street from the main showroom.

As with every other dealer we've looked at, Loftus didn't survive the end of the era, moving and eventually closing in the '70s.

Loftus was also very into the drag racing and street scene and after April of '68 sold Cobra Jets by the truckload. Ive mentioned before my cousin's '68 428CJ notchback that came from Jack Loftus

Next up is Jack Loftus Ford. Loftus was a Shelby dealer for the car's entire run and sold more than 50 in '67 and '68. In '65, he sold 11 including one of the R Models.

Eventually they settled on a royalty deal. Don't got his money and Jack got his discount. If you see a '69 YSC Camaro with an asterisk, it's a Douglass Yenko.

Douglass figured out the scheme after his first truckload of '69 Yenkos showed up. So Douglass did what any fine, upstanding capitalist would do; started ordering his own COPOs and stripe kits from Yenko. Don was pissed when he found out but what could he do?
