It's asteroid smashing time! Our recently acquired companies, SolAero and PSC, helped enable the DART mission by providing solar cells and the satellite dispenser from which DART was deployed.
We'll be watching NASA's live broadcast of this super exciting mission 🛰️
🛰️ This is only a test – of planetary defense. Today, our #DARTMission is set to crash into a non-hazardous asteroid to test deflection technology, should we ever discover a threat.
Impact: 7:14pm ET (23:14 UTC). Watch our LIVE broadcast at 6pm ET: youtu.be/4RA8Tfa6Sck

What do you tell your young son who covertly tried to make a rocket engine out of a can in the garage? By all accounts the explosion was significant. I went with, “check your nozzle diameter”

The @NASAWebb space telescope is the 1,002nd satellite powered by @SolAeroTech! SolAero supplied the high-efficiency triple-junction solar cells to @northropgrumman for integration into solar panels & solar arrays to power the Webb spacecraft.
Replying to @NASAWebb
Many of you have asked us about the timing of our solar array deployment. That deployment was executed automatically after rocket separation, based on a stored command to deploy either when Webb reached a certain attitude toward the Sun or automatically at 33 min. after launch.
