Attaching the Legs
First, I added threaded rods to the end of the leg segments using epoxy.
Next I glued the 2 wooden pieces of the Legs (dowel parts are genuine oak) into the “knees” one dowel at a time using MA.

Boring Assembly Stuff
Lots of little metal pins hold everything together, w a bit of clear UV cyanoacrylate and/or clear epoxy to make sure nothing slides out of place.

I don’t think I showed these before, they were still getting shaded when I had all the parts laid out earlier. (after I shaded the wings, I went back and did the same on quite a few other details because it really helps the colors pop)

I put off doing the shading on the balloon forever, because there is no clear on here so I’m putting paint directly on paint. Any screwups are effectively permanent.
