Gaza, Israel, Hamas, Iran, Ukraine, Russia, China, terrorism, climate change, disrupteive technologies, democratic backsliding, protectionism, and the list goes on - it's an increasingly dangerous world and Canada is not ready to deal with it.
It has been an honour serving the @WestVanPolice Board over the past 3+ years. I have nothing but respect and appreciation for our first responders and it has been a privilege to serve on this board 🙏🏽.
Thinking of all the innocent victims of this hate crime. How terrifying.
A gender studies class was targeted by what police believe was a hate-motivated incident related to gender expression and identity. This violent act is disturbing and has no place in this country. My thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones.

The FFMI (Fact-Finding Mission on Iran) is calling for submissions from individuals, groups, & organizations regarding human rights violations in the Islamic Republic of Iran.
They are particularly interested in information related to the protests that started in September 2022, including:
• Violations against women, children, & minority groups.
• Details on various allegations, such as arbitrary arrests, detentions, sexual & gender-based violence, excessive use of force, torture, enforced disappearances, & deaths of protesters.
• Information on the gender dimension of the violations & discrimination against LGBTIQ+ individuals.
To ensure the timely processing of information & allow for any required follow-up, it is essential to submit your contributions AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, with a final deadline of December 31, 2023.
