Great to speak at my mate @GarethThomasMP’s fundraiser with @uma_kumaran, @DrRosena, @sarahsackman, @HFalconerMP, @RupaHuq, @DeanGilli6 and the Brent posse, including @andSamiah and @RyanHack!
Special shout-out to @GMBunion National VP @Sonya__Davis for a brilliant speech!

Super proud of Sonya, delivering this knockout speech to Labour Party Conference.
We have disputes ongoing or kicking off in Merton, Greenwich, Richmond and Wandsworth that could be settled by sensible funding from central government.
As she says, let's make it happen!

Wonderful speech from @GMB_union's @Sonya__Davis on housing, supporting our brick industry and fair funding for *all* councils.

It was a special moment taking part in @The_RPS's The 40% Project: Celebrating Women in Parliament.
I chose to have my portrait taken beside the Grunwick Strike mural to honour my constituency's trade union history and the fight for fair working conditions led by Jayaben Desai.

When the House sits past midnight, someone still cleans it before morning.
That someone is now on the list.
Thank you @LeePitcherMP for signing our letter. #StandWithCleaners (Signature no. 82)

Excellent Colombia/Cuba joint fringe meeting at @GMB_union congress in Blackpool - main focus on current elections, concerns over interference and consequences for peace.
Thanks to GMB speakers @Sonya__Davis, @bplantgmb + all who came.
Fantastic solidarity! 🇨🇴

🤔 Have you heard about Local Government Reorganisation?
🏛️ If you're a council worker - chances are it could impact where you work.
🟠 With 140 years of experience, you can trust GMB to be on your side.
Let's get ready. 👇

Support staff are not secondary.
Not an afterthought.
Not a side issue.
Your pay is negotiated separately under the NJC framework, and GMB is at that table.
If you work in a support role, make sure you’re in the union that negotiates for you.
Join GMB, the union for school support staff.

What are @nextofficial scared of?
Their union busting saw Sri Lankan workers sacked, just for joining a union.
Here in the Midlands, managers tried to chase union reps off site to stop them speaking with staff.
This is a high street retail giant.
Watch for yourself ⬇️
