Tired of machine politics in MoCo & Maryland. One party rule stinks. Leads to party loyalty over progress. We need better leaders.

"Comforting lies take precedence over uncomfortable realities. People want to feel good, not do good." This should absolutely absolutely be @MontgomeryCoMD official motto!
It feels like the West has been at war with reality for a few decades now. So many social problems are downstream of masses of people pretending that reality isn't real. Comforting lies take precedence over uncomfortable realities. People want to feel good, not do good.

Phenomenal young lady
Kelly Shields was driving on Route 50 in late August when she saw a car smashed all the way to the steering wheel, with the driver unconscious. She immediately pulled over and checked for the man’s pulse before removing him from the smoking car. Shields, of Arnold, then called 911 and started asking him questions as he slowly gained consciousness. The Broadneck High School senior is working toward her certified nursing assistant and certified clinical medical assistant certifications at the Center of Applied Technology South. For her actions that day, she received citations from Democratic Gov. Wes Moore, the Anne Arundel County Council, the county Board of Education and the county police department at the Wednesday school board meeting. Maryland is pouring billions of dollars into an education system where enrollment is down, but failure is up! And the extra costs have been passed down to you through local and county tax increases. How much has Annapolis cost you lately? mdfreedom.org/cost

Maryland state government has been spending, regulating, mandating, grifting on "renewable energy" for basically 20 years. See below. It hasn't led to lower power bills. At all.

🚨 AT WHAT POINT DO MARYLANDERS GIVE UP ON MONEY AND GO BACK TO TRADING CHICKENS? Between rising grocery bills, housing costs, electricity rates, taxes and vehicle registration fees, the barter system is starting to look like a reasonable economic alternative. Need your fence repaired? Two dozen eggs. Need groceries? Trade a lawn mower. Need a used car? Three goats and a riding mower. Unfortunately, this is Maryland. ▪️ GOAT TRANSFER TAX: Annapolis would find a way to collect 6%. ▪️ CHICKEN REGISTRATION: $200 every two years. ▪️ BARTERING SERVICES TAX: Another 3% for trading your labor. ▪️ VEGETABLE EQUITY COMMISSION: $12 million to investigate unfair potato exchanges. ▪️ NEW STATE DASHBOARD: Gov. Wes Moore announces a taxpayer-funded website to track cabbage transactions. At this point, you could eliminate money entirely, and Annapolis would still figure out how to tax two neighbors trading potatoes. The fees are imaginary. The frustration with affordability isn’t.

Maryland is such an awful state. It's a beautiful state, with scenic towns like Mt. Airy... but it's run by such awful people. And their policies are pure extraction from the middle class. Regressive gasoline taxes are just one part.
The only crap these socialist can throw is “gas prices are high”. Let’s see - Trump has had nearly 2 years. Most of them were here as prices rose in grocery stores and gas was $5.00. If they stood with Americans why haven’t any of them dropped gas tax?

"Macho" and Evan Glass aren't really... appropriate word pairings 😆
I saw @EvanMGlass bragging about knocking a no soliciting door. Then he deleted it. This was my reply This is that macho anti-consent politics Y’all flex on and it’s just the worst. It’s like the text messages you send to people that didn’t opt in. It’s this type of thing that makes people not trust either party and dislike all levels of government.

Why is @mceanea president David Stein so obsessed with lying about and slandering the public educator service of @BrendaMDiaz4BOE ? Also... why is he so unkempt and slovenly in public forums?

David Stein often looks like he hasn't showered in weeks. His clothes are ill-fitting, and he's clearly not FOR MoCo's teachers as he's attacking and pathetically lying about a former mcps HS teacher (@BrendaMDiaz4BOE) who simply thinks independently.
Well, @mceanea is out with an absolute pathetic, smearing, nonsense email and "short testimonial" against @BrendaMDiaz4BOE. They are scared of Brenda winning and being an independent voice for parents and teachers. Truly reprehensible what union goon David Stein stoops to !

A home costs 7.6 years of income in CALIFORNIA but only 2.8 in WEST VIRGINIA This gap is the direct, intended result of progressive housing policy, not geography or “greed.” California politicians used zoning boards, CEQA lawsuits, and growth controls to deliberately choke off new construction while the population kept rising. Washington (6.1) and Colorado (5.9) followed the Cali playbook, while Iowa (3.0) and Texas (3.9) largely didn’t.

Yeesh. Wes really doesn't care about momma earth, eh Carter? Hot air from his mouth and carbon from the suburban. No doubt Wes doesn't drive it himself. Hold up, are MD taxpayers paying for this?
“Moore, the only Black governor of a U.S. state, is up for reelection next month. But his Suburban with Maryland plates recently logged more than 650 miles crisscrossing Virginia, where he rallied Black and veteran voters in the commonwealth’s most competitive House districts.” washingtonpost.com/politics/…

Wes Moore gets a failing "F" grade on overall freedom. One of 9 worst governors in America on freedom. Per @CatoInstitute methodology. Grades full spectrum freedom. Wes Moore doesn't do well at really any.

Someone made a site that tracks what people are talking about at public city council meetings across the US. The only thing discussed more than data centers? Pickleball courts.

A key component of that cartel is medical licensing. A big part of why construction companies can't get away with this is that they face competition from other construction companies who don't do it. The state has regulated that away for pharma medicine.

A county in decline. Literally economic and social decline is being showcased in front of you. Thank you Takoma Park, MD for creating the worst politician (Marc Elrich) in modern county history and giving him a platform to run for county executive.
MCPS is changing its plans for the new Crown High School, now set to house Wootton High instead of addressing a projected student shortage. This comes as enrollment forecasts show a significant decline.
