The fact that we still have nuclear weapons tells me people don’t understand them. When I was at Uni, we studied descriptions from survivors of the atomic blasts at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I thought it would be like learning about any other harrowing history. I was very wrong. It disturbed me in my bones and never left me.
When the atomic bombs detonated in Japan, some of these survivors literally thought it was an alien invasion. This was because the flash was so blinding bright and silent, they had never imagined anything like it before. There was also no noise for those close to the blast. The shockwave hit their ears at the same time as the sound, sending them flying and shattering everything in its wake. This became known as the Pika-Don.
For those further away from the detonation, the sound following the flash was deafening beyond description. It was described as an impossible crack, as if the sky had snapped open. This was trailed by a terrifying deep roar that screamed outwards. It was considered one of the loudest events in human history.
Then there was the thermal heat wave. It was so hot it vaporised people in the open instantly and other peoples clothes melted into their skin. Many were burned beyond belief and just stood there screaming or silent, as the sky turned black from the dust, ash and debris. Wild firestorms spread throughout the city, as people searched in darkness for their families and friends.
But the worst was yet to come. Those that died in the blast were the lucky ones. Over the coming days and weeks, people’s hair fell out. Without explanation those that had incredibly survived, started to confusingly fall ill and perish over time. I don’t want to describe the side effects of the radiation sickness, but it made me cry reading about it. The hopelessness, suffering and courage of the people that succumbed to this, should be mandatory reading for everyone, to understand the true power of nuclear weapons.

Real life example of the lessons learned in the Iran war.
New satellite imagery of the underground facility Egypt is constructing near the Cairo–Suez highway.
The imagery suggests that most of the construction and excavation work has been completed, with mainly interior finishing work and surrounding site development remaining before the facility can become operational
Iran playing around with laser weapons.
Iran has new laser guided drone
Defense - Al Jazeera
The laser-guided air defense weapon that Iran talked about a few days ago has been shown in action.
Drones can be rather stealthy with wooden frames, especially at night. Allegedly, Iran have solved it as follows.
They send a decent number of loitering drones into the defense cone. Powerful radars and detectors sense an incoming drone and light it up with bright green laser beams. The loitering drones pounce on it.
Whatever it is, it seems to work.

Oh my God if Claude advised her to switch and endorse Mike Rogers…
“After searching the Internet, I see I made a mistake in suggesting you endorse Mike Rogers. Would you like help writing a new statement?”

NEVER FORGET what they did to this man.
He was tortured to DEATH.
An American journalist.
US is in no hurry to do any of the below asks.
Iran needs to increase the pressure or this is just pissing in the wind.
Iranian officials have left Doha following indirect negotiations with Washington, as a draft proposal for a potential agreement circulates
Iran's 7 conditions to end the war
1. End all military hostilities across the region, including Lebanon, Yemen, Iraq and Gaza.
2. Release frozen Iranian assets held in foreign banks.
3. Lift the U.S. naval blockade of Iranian ports.
4. Remove economic and political sanctions against Iran.
5. Withdraw U.S. troops from the region.
6. Pay war reparations for damages caused during the war.
7. End U.S. threats and hostile rhetoric directed at Iran
I am fascinated by this suggestion that it is controversial to say we shouldn’t use our tax dollars “dropping bombs on somebody else and their kids.”
Spoiler: that is not a controversial statement. And you can’t bully people into believing it is.
Abdul El-Sayed literally just repeated the gist of the claim that got him in hot water this week:
“It shouldn't be this hard to pay taxes and know that that money's gonna be spent on you and your kids, instead of dropping bombs on somebody else and their kids.”
That is the essence of the highly controversial ad that caused Haley Stevens to break with him and sparked condemnation from Jewish leaders across America.
Loot drops continue. Yemeni Armed Forces are extremely well armed for what comes next.

People learning that force = mass x acceleration is forever funny.

Why didn't that happen to the one that nose dived in Philly? In Philly there was plane and body parts everywhere
Oh.

Jason Turkish, Haley Stevens’ fiancé, is Jewish. His father was born in Haifa, Israel, and his grandparents were Holocaust refugees.
A handler handling his asset. lol
@Grok what religion does Haley Steven's fiance follow?
STS' play (and it isn't a bad one) is to help clean up, and negotiate for an autonomous region in the south that is under a consolidated Yemen. They realize the Saudi are a declining power, especially with the expungement of US forces in the region.
Fun times ahead.

When you can't actually fight Iran without getting smacked around.
U.S. forces intercepted and sank a vessel linked to the Ecuadorian criminal organization Los Choneros during a military operation in the Eastern Pacific.
U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) released images of the operation targeting the oil tanker, which had been used as a floating refueling station for speedboats involved in drug trafficking.
Before the vessel was destroyed, U.S. Marines evacuated the crew and transferred them to the USS San Antonio. The crew was later handed over to Ecuadorian authorities.
The tanker and its support vessels were then sunk with missiles and machine-gun fire from UH-1Y military helicopters.
So we all just watched Haley Stevens commit Seppuku for Israel right?
Just confirming this timeline.
Yemen is about to escalate, and this time the US won't be able too brush it off as the ports now come under ballistic missile fire.
