Colorado State's defense looks like the guys Arch Manning was playing against in his high school film

My thoughts at halftime, unfortunately...

My favorite thing about UFCU Stadium (TXST), very underrated feature of a stadium
It’s actually insane how this isn’t a thing at most stadiums

Lost in our offensive scoring slump is Torrance Burgess having an elite start to the season.

It's funny, been going to TXST football games for 20 years, left expensive coolers and speakers from tailgating in the bed my truck and walked into the game knowing they'd be out there when I walked out...but a couple of UTSA fans come to town and all of sudden there's problems..

At one time, ESPN was worth more than the NFL, NBA, and MLB combined. As a young company, all they could afford were the rights to lower level college football games. College football grew the company from nothing...doesn't matter, this is how these guys view the sport now...
The @CFBPlayoff has had to change the format EVERY YEAR because the G6 continue to out perform expectations. But David Hale (who?) at @espn continues to push the cartel’s narrative that no real football is played outside of four conferences.

Longhorn fans, in advance of the season opener against the Bobcats, we wanted to point out one thing about Texas State. Their President, @kdamp is one of the best men in higher education today. If you have ever had the chance to talk to him and get to know him and his story, you know why he is special. The Longhorns will likely win on the field on Saturday, but Texas State and their students win every day because of people like Kelly. Thanks for all you do KD!

college football is a jeffersonian sport about the power of competing local elites that has been perverted into a hamiltonian sport about the tyranny of the judiciary

Why did you say "I graduated from Texas" - you clarified that first because you knew it gave your opinion on this subject more creedance. Being a student or an alumni of a school does matter.
I graduated from Texas … 🤘🏼 Saying you can’t be a diehard fan of a school unless you went there is the lamest take of all-time. College is expensive as hell, some schools (Texas, etc.) are hard to get into. If you have this opinion, go kick rocks.

Sam Houston’s Elliott T. Bowers stadium recently underwent a massive $60 million renovation. This included new video boards, a new press box, new luxury suites and a club area in the press box. The Bearkats will play here again in 2026 after playing elsewhere in 2025.

You idiots have $110 season tickets...without a $17 fee which goes straight to the City of San Antonio for your rental fee, the price is $93/ea - holy poor...

What about Sam Houston and UTEP?

Kevin is either intentionally wrong or unable to read. The 80% figure he's referencing is what percentage of students plan to attend private school, not what percentage of applicants are coming from private school. Source: comptroller.texas.gov/about/…
When 80% of the applicants are coming from private school students, we are funding a choice that has already been made and that choice is being funded by the taxpayers. This is called a govt subsidy. It is neither conservative or fiscally responsible.

In a response, he already referenced his source for the 80% and used a screenshot from the comproller's report - on the same page that I referenced above. Are we to believe a master's degree in education cannot read?

Amazing stuff.
"A Black Mississippi child is two and a half times as likely to be proficient in reading by fourth grade as a Black California child." "...states with large increases in school test scores enjoyed rising incomes and drops in teen motherhood, incarceration and arrest rates..."

I'm starting to figure out the new world of college football...transfer is the term we use when a player completes a season at their previous school before trying to find another. Free agent is the term we use when a player quits on their team in the middle of the season.
STRecruiting: Texas State free agent OL Tellek Lockette (6-3 320) is scheduled to visit South Carolina on Friday. He has Rutgers on Thursday.

If you complained about G5 making the playoffs because of blowouts you owe their fanbases an apology and you should probably stop pretending to be a fan of the sport.
28
Amazing how many local radio guys are hating on the G5 for engagement farming-essentially useful idiots for Comcast & Disney's messaging, when everyone knows if their station was bought by those two tomorrow, they'd immediately be fired for an afternoon airing of Bobby Bones show

Just this week, we had ours with 500 employees at a 5-star hotel with prime rib, open bar, live band, and formal wear. Company paid for Ubers and/hotels and flights for out of towners. Rare but not extinct.
What happened to the huge corporate Christmas parties you see in all the 90s movies? Seems like that doesn’t exist at all anymore.

First item in Reffett's bio is "Former NFL player". He never played a regular season snap in the NFL, he was preseason and practice squad only. He was ultimately cut from the Steelers practice squad to make room for a player not from Oregon or Indiana, but from Georgia Southern
Dumbest thing about the college football playoff....... Watching Tulane or James Madison go to Oregon or Indiana to get beat by 30+ points. Cancel that garbage and just put the best 12 teams in. So stupid.
