Sam Houston’s Elliott T. Bowers stadium recently underwent a massive $60 million renovation. This included new video boards, a new press box, new luxury suites and a club area in the press box. The Bearkats will play here again in 2026 after playing elsewhere in 2025.

In 1899, the Brazos River in Waco (90 miles south of Dallas) froze over and people began ice skating on it. It didn't get above 0°F for over a week. Like the book says, East Terrace is visible in the background of the photo, that house is still standing: maps.app.goo.gl/Nn5AsLQnQLqG…
