Americans still smoking, I think disruption circadian rhythms for part of the year is low on the priority list of what most Americans need to focus on.
Extra daylight hours to get outside and exercise later in the day would serve people's overall health better. It certainly is important for children to have more daylight to play after school for their mental and physical wellbeing! And I'd rather my teenager not drive home after sports in the dark.
