• We didn't have internment camps
• We didn't have masked military shooting people in the streets
• We weren't at war in the Middle East
• We funded science
• We funded education
• We weren't handing over public land to oil companies
• We were friends with Canada, Mexico and Europe
• Gas was 1/2 what it is now
• Solar and wind energy was a good thing
• Inflation was going down, not up
• Our food was safer

I caught up with Ryan Grim, co-founder of Drop Site News, after his outlet uncovered a rather extraordinary connection in Michigan's Senate race.
Two people working on Republican Mike Rogers' campaign are ALSO registered foreign agents for Israel.
One of them is his campaign spokesperson.
Think about the outrage if the same people were simultaneously working for Russia or China.
Ryan explained how the arrangement connects to a much larger Israeli-funded influence operation targeting American conservatives, and why the controversy surrounding Democrat Abdul El-Sayed could actually strengthen his campaign.
But then we turned to something considerably more alarming.
Tucker Carlson has warned that Trump could be considering a NUCLEAR strike against Iran, potentially within days.
Ryan was careful: his own reporting has neither confirmed nor disproved Tucker's claim. Neither of us has independently established that nuclear weapons are being seriously considered.
Meanwhile, we're hearing conflicting accounts of the negotiations in Qatar. Some sources suggest genuine diplomatic movement, while other reports point to an impasse.
And with the midterms upon us, Ryan believes Democrats could be heading for a historic victory.
That raises a fascinating question.
If voters deliver a sweeping rejection of Trump's Iran policy, will he still have the political appetite to launch another offensive?
We also discussed Senator Chris Murphy's warnings about US war plans and whether Democrats would actually use their congressional powers to restrict funding for another attack.
Because winning Congress is one thing. Having the courage to stop a war is quite another.

Mike Rogers’ campaign has paid millions to Convergence Media, a Republican consulting firm.
Two Convergence staffers are also registered foreign agents for Israel, per federal FARA filings. They work on a government-backed communications contract run by Brad Parscale's firm, reportedly worth $46.5 million.
One of them, Abigail Ronson, is a Rogers campaign spokesperson. The other, Jesse Stokes, has reportedly written campaign press releases.
Registering is legal. That's what the filings are for. But the Rogers campaign hasn't said whether it knew, and Michigan voters go to the polls tomorrow.
So here are the questions:
Did Rogers know?
What safeguards separated the campaign's work from the Israeli contract?
Was any messaging, research, technology, or voter data shared between the two?
This isn't a minor disclosure issue. It's a conflict-of-interest and transparency question in a Senate race, and voters deserve answers BEFORE they vote.
