Well said.
We're in a new era of communication, and only one side seems to be living in it. The old guard consultant class is about to be relegated to the dustbin of history.
If you think that high prices lost the election for the right, you don't understand marketing. Humans have no problem paying a premium for a good quality brand. Notice the word "brand", not "product". Are Nikes better than New Balance? Nope. But the brand is better. And notice what happened when they tinkered with the brand and screwed their core narrative? Nike stock fell through the basement. Did the product change? Nope. The brand did.
It's not the product, it's the brand. Results don't sell the product, the storytelling does. Will these newly-elected commies lower prices? Of course not. Are they gonna get you free healthcare? No, your insurance is gonna get even worse, just like it did the last time they tried socialized medicine. They're not going to do anything they've sold you, but...like Saul Goodman said: if you're committed enough, you can make any story work.
The committed storytelling of a couple insane podcasters was enough to fracture an entire political coalition from their own side in less than 2 years...they have zero power, zero credibility, they've never actually governed anything nor produced any results, but...they're good storytellers, and that's all that matters. Are they telling a good story? No, it's atrocious, but they're telling their atrocious story effectively and compellingly.
It is 100% true that everything's too damn expensive, and we all know that inflated prices are always sticky. Does anyone know that it's entirely the result of shutting down the global economy over the flu and (both naive republicans and democrats) printing infinity dollars for several years? Nope...because nobody has effectively told that story, and it's an unsexy story to tell. "Free stuff!" is a VERY easy story to tell, and when everyone's gotta take out a second mortgage just to pay their insurance premiums, "free healthcare" is an unbeatable story. It doesn't matter that "free healthcare" doesn't exist and socialized medicine is a terrible product...it's not the product, it's the brand. And "FREE!" is a great brand.
You can't get mad at people for having the financial literacy of a 9 year old. I mean, you can, but they outnumber you a million to one, so it's not going to be productive. You need to figure out how to make an unsexy story sexy, or else the "free stuff!" crowd is going to eat your lunch every time. If you give people a choice between earning a six pack on a treadmill or taking Ozempic, they're gonna choose Ozempic...they don't care about the side effects. If you give people a choice between fiscal discipline or free stuff...guess what they'll pick? They don't care about the side effects.
With projected growth of 5%, the economy right now is stronger than it's been in generations. Is that the story you hear? Nope. Is that the vibe you feel? Absolutely not, especially when every time you fill up your gas tank, it feels like a diesel enema.
It's not the product, it's the brand. A great product can fall into oblivion with bad messaging...a single bad review from one effective storyteller can tank a restaurant. The "influencer economy" is lucrative for a reason; everybody inherently understands the importance of effective storytelling...except the right. Zohran Mamdani gets it...he has an army of influencers on staff. In a perfect metaphor of this transitional phase of old guard vs new wave political messaging, Zohran nuked the Vice President into oblivion with maybe the biggest ratio in the history of the internet. By simply posting the subway assistant meme, Mamdani got 2 MILLION likes, quoting a post from the VP that had only 10K likes. If you're reading that sentence thinking "this is fucking ridiculous, you're talking about social media likes as political analysis now?"...you are the problem.
Yes, this stuff matters. Rizz matters. The President did a masterful job of this kind of retail politics in his historic 2024 campaign...you can be angry that this is what politics has been reduced to, but you can either adapt or die.
"No the problem is, you didn't deliver enough for the American people!" Are you a moron? Since when does anybody care about that? What have democrats delivered for Californians in the last 20 years? Unmitigated wildfires, homeless drug zombies everywhere, roads that look like Fallujah in 2004...people don't care about results. They think they care about results. That want you to believe they care about results, just as Nike wants you to believe their shoes are better than New Balance...but at the end of the day, all people really care about is the swoosh.
Adapt or die.

The Great Inflation era that began in 1965 was driven by heavy stimulus, massive monetary expansion, flawed economic theories and War( 70s).
Six decades later, we find ourselves in a strikingly similar predicament: aggressive stimulus, loose monetary policies, and now, disruptive warfare that has caused significant drawdowns in strategic reserves and record-high pump prices..mirroring the 1970s oil embargo that sparked the subsequent stagflationary era.
Right now, there is a significant chance we are heading into a severe inflationary cycle that could wreak havoc on equities, Main Street, and global stability.
This time around, it will not be an easy fix. Back then, global economic balance sheets were much healthier.
Today, we face a deteriorating economic outlook burdened by unprecedented debt levels.
Below, I have charted today's Dow Jones and 10-Year Gov. Bond yield against the Great Inflation era of the 1960s, and the technical indicators look chillingly similar.
Interesting times ahead.
Brace for significant volatility moving forward.
Stay safe, disciplined, and most of all, informed.

Stat time! Bulls might like what they see:
$SOXX this week was the 3rd highest weekly red volume of all time.
If you take the other 4 highest weekly red volume weeks of all time and look what they did the next week it would look like this:
+7.60%
+10.46%
+9.57%
+5.95%
For an average return of +8.4%
Can the Semiconductors etf give us a bounce next week?
I mean keep in mind it’s also down 9 days in a row which is tied for the longest losing streak in its 26 year etf history.
Bulls, at least short term bullish traders, you know what to do…

Plan over home runs.
Scale out at VWAP, the 200 SMA and the PM high. Move the stop up after each target.
The home run with no stop usually ends in a drawdown.
Same plan every day.

Patience pays.
Mark your levels before the bell. No entries before 9:40. Let price come to your zone, wait for the retest, then execute.
Chasing the opening pop is how you get stopped. Waiting is the edge.

Four months ago, I mapped🗺️ out a probable path for the semiconductor index using the legendary Jesse Livermore's theories.
Some of you might be amazed by the accuracy..others expect nothing less.
I won't burden you with the intricacies of how the process works; the technicals summarise and explain it all ..shown in the chart below.
Enjoy.
Yours truly,
The Great Martis🙏
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) has hit 60%+ above its 50-day moving average (MA), with this level last seen in similar extremes around March 2000 (dot-com peak).
Below, the Livermore Cylinder applies to the semiconductor index.
The question that now remains:
Where does the number 10 stop at ?
The rest is consequential.

The nightmare.🚨
While the herd is misdirected, the bond market just sent out a major smoke signal. The technical significance of what you are seeing below is a measured move. If it follows its playbook, the yield ceiling might surprise a few people.
The best possible resolution to avoiding such a nightmare scenario is if we get a deleveraging event of significant proportions and without intervention.
Hope this helps.

The Greta Martis.

A couple of months ago, I warned that the breakout of the US 10-Year bond yield's symmetrical coil pattern..which has formed over years..is likely to have dire and systemic effects across the US markets.
As of now, yields are affecting the entire market except for the Nasdaq, where we see a potential double top forming.
Meanwhile, the 10-year coiled pattern looks like it isn't slowing down until something breaks.
Ladies and gentlemens, this isn't an 'I told you so' moment... but I did tell you so.
Stay vigilant, disciplined, and most of all, informed.
Yours truly,
The Great Martis.🙏
Most of the cattle tend to forget that back in 2022 the US10YR benchmark yield formed a symmetrical triangle similar to today’s...only 10 times smaller.
The breakout came early that year, and what we witnessed was a near vertical rise in the 10-year.
What the majority conveniently forget as time is the healer of many wounds..is that the Nasdaq plummeted nearly 40% while the bond market eroded beneath their feet.
Now look at today’s symmetrical triangle. Through the fractal lens of chaos theory, this multi-year coiling pattern makes the 2022 triangle look like a mere offspring.
If that smaller son of a triangle inflicted such devastating damage upon the almighty Nasdaq, what destruction will this current mother of all symmetrical triangles..now breaking out after years of compression unleash?
Understand this post in its entirety and its logic. Betting against what is about to be revealed is a fool’s game.
He who has eyes to see, let him see.
The signs are written large across the charts; ignore them at your peril, for the greater storm gathers.
Remain vigilant.
Remain cautious.
Remain disciplined.
And above all ... stay informed.
Yours truly,
The Great Martis

The US is fucked... they can't fight inflation.
What enabled Volcker to kill inflation by hiking rates aggressively was debt-to-GDP being at just ~30%.
Today, we are at over 100% and running $2T deficits...
This means all that rate hikes accomplish is increasing the deficit and thereby increasing inflationary pressures.
In other words, it doesn't matter whether we get a hike or a cut... the result will be inflation.
The reason debt to GDP was so low during the Volcker era was because the US had inflated the debt away after WWII.
I expect history to rhyme.
We don't own enough hard assets for what's coming.

TNII - Trump Narrative Intensity Index.✨
When overlaid on the oil chart, the pattern is hard to miss. Narrative intensity rises with oil spikes and falls as prices ease. It is currently sitting at March highs and looks set to double or triple if oil keeps climbing.

#TRADING #EDUCATION: FUNDAMENTALS, TECHNICALS and INSIDER TRADING?
#Oil is heavily driven by the war in the middle east and the Hormuz situation. BUT as I have posted recently, the technical levels are still being respected with amazing accuracy.
And I have also had discussions with many people recently who tell me that the technical are a waste of time here, my shorts will get wrecked and so far my trades are doing ok.
My tile mentions 3 things, fundamentals, technicals and insider trading and in truth ALL 3 are happening simultaneously in markets. I will try to deal with them 1 by 1:
INSIDER TRADING:
- Unfortunately this is something that has always happened and always will. It has almost certainly increased in recent years and it is absolutely disgusting. But I can't change it and I waste ZERO energy on it because its beyond my control.
FUNDAMENTALS:
- This undoubtedly acts as a catalyst in markets and in some markets is more prescient than others. In oil right now, it is massive. I regularly say that I ignore the fundamentals but that is only half true. In actual fact I do follow the news, but I trade based on the chart with a small macro overview for a medium term bias. BUT THE BIG FACTOR that I repeat regularly is that fundamentals are PRICED INTO the chart. Only if you are one of the inside traders will you consistently get ahead of the fundamentals.
TECHNICALS:
- This is the BIG poiny. These are not magic lines that some people think. They are levels that institutions (who are often the insider traders) put BIG MONEY and volume on. So if previously a lot of money has defended an area, then even whem a fundamental catalyst occurs, that BIG MONEY will often step in again. And that is why price stops and often reverses at these levels. NO MAGIC. NO LUCK. Just VOLUME TRADING.
