Tampa Bay just embarrassed Carolina 43-13. Great performance. But here's a number worth remembering before backing the Bucs against Atlanta today. Todd Bowles is 1-7 ATS at home following a victory by 10+ points. Those eight games produced an average Tampa Bay score of 19.1-22.8, despite an average spread near pick'em. The market has repeatedly rewarded the Bucs for their previous blowout. They haven't rewarded bettors who followed.

Jacksonville hasn't just been covering against AFC opponents at home. They've been crushing the market's expectations. Since the beginning of last season: 8-1 ATS +6.9 units Average score: Jaguars 33.4, Opponents 14.8 Average spread: Jacksonville -3.6 Nearly a 19-point average winning margin in games generally priced around a field goal. Indianapolis comes to town today, and this is one trend we'd have a hard time overlooking.

Daniel Jones passing TD props this season: 7 bets on the Under. 7 winners. +8.6 units. He's thrown just 4 TD passes in those 7 games, averaging 0.6 per game against a posted number averaging 1.2. It's one of the more remarkable individual prop trends in the NFL right now. Jacksonville is next. The question is whether bookmakers have finally adjusted enough to take away the value.

You can survive one bad turnover game. Four straight is a different story. Florida State enters tonight's Clemson matchup having posted a turnover margin of -1 or worse in four consecutive games. Since 2017, betting AGAINST home teams in this exact situation has produced a 74-33 ATS record (69.2%), worth +37.7 units. The system is 6-2 this season, too. Home field helps a lot of things. It doesn't give you back the possessions you keep handing away.

The number that jumps off the page in our Florida-Georgia simulation isn't the projected 37-22 final. It's yards per play. Georgia: 7.4 Florida: 5.0 The Bulldogs are projected to average 10.3 yards per pass attempt, while Florida manages just 3.2 yards per rush. That's a pretty big efficiency mismatch for a game lined Georgia -11.5. Florida needs to sustain drives and keep Georgia's offense off the field. The simulation doesn't see that happening often enough.

At what point does a losing streak become something more than bad luck? Maryland has dropped five straight, and the betting history isn't encouraging. Since 2024, the Terps are 0-8 ATS after three consecutive conference losses, getting outscored 38.4 to 16.8 on average. Even more telling, they've been catching an average of 10.1 points in those games. Illinois visits this afternoon. The market has repeatedly given Maryland points in these situations, and the Terps have repeatedly failed to take advantage.

Wisconsin-Iowa has a total of 36.5, so every point on the spread matters. Iowa -2.5. StatSharp projects Wisconsin 17-16 and gives the Badgers a 64.6% chance to cover. In a game where neither team may reach 20, getting nearly a field goal isn't insignificant.

We've looked at a lot of college football totals this week, but Arizona-Texas Tech might have the biggest disagreement between the market and our numbers. The total is sitting at 54.5. StatSharp projects just 43 points. Arizona 22, Texas Tech 21. That also puts the Wildcats on the right side of a 3.5-point spread, with the model giving Arizona a 53.5% chance to win outright. We're especially interested in Texas Tech's team total Under 30.5. Asking the Red Raiders for 31 points in a game our ratings project at 43 combined seems awfully optimistic. One of Saturday's more interesting betting matchups.

Thursday Night Football is looking like a battle of attrition. The StatSharp injury report for Panthers-Packers is loaded with key names: CAROLINA • G Damien Lewis — OUT • LB Jaelan Phillips — OUT • CB Akayleb Evans — OUT GREEN BAY • C Sean Rhyan — OUT (listed status) • LB Zaire Franklin — OUT • WR Matthew Golden — QUESTIONABLE • DT Devonte Wyatt — QUESTIONABLE Golden has 540 receiving yards and 3 TDs this season, while Franklin has 41 tackles. These aren't insignificant absences. Green Bay opened -7 and is now -3.5, with the total climbing from 45.5 to 46.5. With this many moving parts, I'd be especially careful about trusting season-long efficiency numbers or making a bet before the final inactive lists are released.

Milwaukee has gone from -130 to -150 for tonight's Game 5, and there's one lineup situation I'd be watching closely before laying that price. Tampa Bay's Junior Caminero is questionable (but expected to play at this point) with a foot injury. We're talking about a hitter who produced 43 HR, 105 RBI and an .873 OPS this season. Losing that kind of production would be a serious blow against Misiorowski, especially with a total of only 6.5. I'd want the confirmed lineup before deciding whether the Brewers are still worth the price.

Not often you get a World Series pitching matchup like this. Jacob Misiorowski: 17-5, 1.87 ERA, 266 K in 188 innings. Drew Rasmussen: 18-5, 2.61 ERA, 0.915 WHIP. The total is just 6.5, and I can see why. The harder question is whether there's any value left betting Under at such a low number. *** Important note: Rasmussen will be working the dreaded 3 days rest.

A few statistical mismatches caught our attention while going through tonight's NBA card on StatSharp. Minnesota vs. Golden State: The Timberwolves are holding opponents to 28% from three while shooting 40% themselves. Golden State is allowing opponents to shoot 53% overall, the worst defensive FG% on tonight's board. Minnesota also owns a massive +14 rebounding margin. That's a lot to like about the Wolves laying 3.5. Houston at Milwaukee: The Rockets are 4-0, shooting 51% overall and 39% from three. Milwaukee has allowed 122 PPG, although the Bucks' +10 rebounding margin could help keep things competitive. Houston -8.5 isn't exactly cheap. Philadelphia at Indiana: The Sixers are 3-1 despite being outrebounded by 12 per game! Indiana shoots 48% and has scored 117 PPG. The Pacers' offensive efficiency makes that +7.5 interesting, especially if Philadelphia continues getting dominated on the glass. New York at Chicago: Neither offense has found its rhythm. Both teams are shooting just 41%, and Chicago is hitting an ugly 24% from three while committing 20 turnovers per game. One caution: We're dealing with just 3-4 games of data for most teams. These mismatches are worth investigating, but early-season shooting percentages can change quickly.

The bullpen matchup is worth a closer look before World Series Game 5. Milwaukee's relievers have a 1.31 ERA this postseason versus Tampa Bay's 3.81. Aaron Ashby has been nearly untouchable, extending his scoreless streak to a postseason-record 18 innings with 2⅓ perfect frames yesterday. Abner Uribe added two scoreless innings, while DL Hall, JoJo Romero and Trevor Megill also kept the Rays off the board. But Tuesday's 12-inning game changed the equation. Tampa Bay's bullpen answered with 8 innings of one-run ball. Nick Martinez and closer Bryan Baker each delivered two scoreless innings, while Tyler Wells and Cam Booser helped keep Milwaukee quiet in extras. The big question tonight isn't just which bullpen is better. It's which arms still have enough left after yesterday's marathon. Ashby threw 31 pitches, Uribe worked two innings, and Tampa Bay used Martinez for 33 pitches and Ian Seymour for 32. Milwaukee has the statistical advantage. Tampa Bay may have narrowed the gap, but both managers face some tough bullpen decisions tonight.

Here's something worth remembering before betting Cowboys-Eagles tonight: Philadelphia is 1-5 ATS this season, including 0-3 at home. Dallas hasn't been much better at 2-3-1 ATS. Combined, these NFC East rivals have covered just 3 of their first 12 games, with one push. Hard to trust either side at the current number.

When's the last time you saw an NFL favorite turn into a 4.5-point underdog in the same week? Philadelphia opened -3 against Dallas. Now the Cowboys are -4.5. That's a massive 7.5-point reversal, driven by the Eagles' injury situation. Anyone who grabbed Dallas +3 is sitting on an excellent number and a tremendous middle opportunity!
143
Something has to give tonight in Tampa Bay. Milwaukee is 9-1 this postseason (+9.1 units), but the Rays are 21-5 at home against left-handed starters this season (+14.2 units). With Gasser facing Peralta and the money line nearly a pick'em, this is one of those World Series matchups where I'm more interested in the price than the team records.
122
Freddy Peralta's regular-season ERA was 4.02, but he's been a different pitcher lately. Over his last 10 appearances, he's 6-0 with a 1.29 ERA. In the postseason, that ERA drops to 1.08. Milwaukee counters with Robert Gasser, who's allowed just 1 earned run in 9 playoff innings. Runs could be tough to come by in World Series Game 3.

Detroit is laying 3 at home, but our simulation actually has Green Bay winning 26-24. The part that stands out isn’t just the score — it’s the efficiency gap. Green Bay projects at 6.2 yards per play to Detroit’s 5.4, with the Packers holding the Lions to 6.5 yards per pass attempt despite 40 projected throws. If Xavier McKinney and that secondary can keep Amon-Ra St. Brown from generating explosives, the defensive edge could be enough to swing the NFC North matchup. newsletters.statsharp.com/po…

Ravens Respond After Close Losses “Bet on Baltimore after a loss by six points or fewer. Since the 2024 season, the Ravens are 7-0 ATS in this spot, with an average line of -6.2 and a +90.9% ROI.” Few losses are tougher to absorb than the kind Baltimore suffered against Cleveland last week—a close defeat that leaves plenty of plays to replay afterward. But recent history suggests the Ravens have been especially good at turning that frustration into an immediate response rather than allowing one painful loss to become two. Since 2024, Baltimore is a perfect 7-0 ATS following losses by six points or fewer, and these haven't simply been narrow covers. The Ravens have outscored their next opponent by an average of 34.3-16.1, despite laying an average of 6.2 points. That points to a team that has consistently corrected mistakes and responded with urgency after games that slipped away. Cincinnati comes to Baltimore this week, giving the Ravens another opportunity to turn an excruciating defeat into one of their most reliable bounce-back situations.
