I feel like we won this battle, even though it won't be named Starfleet. I'm stilling calling it that, though.

I feel vindicated in spirit, if not name.

Multiculture is the American culture. We need to focus on having a single political culture based on obeying the Constitution. That's all we need. We don't need one accent, one language, one food, one of anything.
For a country to survive, there has to be a common culture. Nobody dies to defend a “multicultural economic zone”! American culture, with its English-Scotts-Irish origin, is great and worth fighting for. Some may not realize it, but that’s why people come here. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

The Starfleet TV show is doing a lot of brand damage right now, but let's talk about what a real Starfleet Academy can be. A STEAM-only university with a focus on space applications, with a Space Force academy, with 2500 students living fulltime INSIDE an analog space station

Where students would have to grow their own food, recycle their own air and waste, maintain and upgrade systems, work part time as bartenders and cooks and mission support, in technical applications, running 3D printers and mini fabs for creating necessities.

And those who graduate would be the first to populate a real station in orbit, the first to go poupulate Mars or work on other stations in the Belt or at lunar stations and bases throughout the solar system, or work in engineering, building future spacecraft and habs.

Sad that the probably lame Star Trek series about this is going to ruin the entire idea of Starfleet for a lot of people. I keep getting angry comments for absolutely no reason.

High School and college should have 1-year projects, 3/4-year projects and forever (10-year plust) projects that are "generational" and allow students to develop big things, and put their marks on it. Not make a remote control car today, race it today, throw it away tomorrow.
I told my daughter that if she were to go to college for robotics or human/cybernetic interfaces, I'd build a MoonPod prototype so she would build the interfaces and arms for it. No takers yet, but I'm hopeful.

We must do it.
Three goals in one. *Start Starfleet Academy. *Build it as an analog of C-SASS as a hands on training/engineering exercise. *Build and launch C-SASS and crew it with Starfleet grads.

But will Starship v3 still be 2300t? And how does that kind of height bode for vertical landing on regolith?

The approximate location of Starfleet Academy. Would be awesome to actually put it there.

Changed this account to promote Starfleet. Was trying to for local STEAM efforts in schools and universities, but was met with surprising resistance. Maybe the solution is to compete with them, rather than make them better.

If @elonmusk and @rookisaacman manned up and strted Star Fleet Academy, they'd be rolling in so many students and money that they would eclipse NASA. Imagine how many students from around the world would want to attend. and then would do full time space science and engineering.
