Hi, I'm a new customer. Do you promote any particular manner of canister recycling/recovery?

I don't have a #NintendoSwitch2 but I pre-ordered #StarFox anyways. I vote for what I want with my dollars!
I'm sure I'll get the system eventually. Hopefully with a special StarFox edition one day.
Our town’s toddler park is up for replacement. Mini putt sounds fun, but a shady plaza with a small play area would serve families, walkers, and nearby businesses far better. Shade is essential—not just for seating, but for play. Let’s build something we’ll actually use year-round.
Give input on the future of Library Park, located at 116 South Aiken Street! The Town Board is considering two design concepts: Mini Golf and a Plaza Park.
Check out both conceptual designs and share your thoughts here by September 26: letstalkfv.org/library-park-….

Independence Day is the perfect time to ask if you want independence from the two-party (some would say uniparty) system!

I'm grateful that logical thinkers can still be found.
didn’t expect this, but here we are:
an author from the very left-leaning german taz makes a case for why not buying a tesla due to the ceo’s political stance is silly and hypocritical. excellent read in these dumb times. translation:
Why I’m Buying a Tesla Despite Everything
On a road trip through Iceland, the author fell in love with a Tesla—and bought one. She doesn’t have much patience for the outrage that followed.
I’ve ordered a Tesla. It’s brand new, a Model Y, cherry red on the outside, black on the inside. Honestly, I’m as excited about it as a little kid. But time and again, I’m asked to justify my decision. “You did what?!” friends and colleagues exclaim, throwing indignant looks my way.
Whether I don’t find it reprehensible—because of Elon Musk, Trump’s rightwingright-hand man in the White House.
In economics as in culture, we grapple with the question of moral responsibility. Should we stop looking at certain art if an artist expresses politically incorrect views? Stop playing or listening to certain music? Toss clothes from certain brands in the trash because a company turns out to be “evil”?
Musk stands in the public eye, offering his critics the perfect target. Meanwhile, those same outraged folks own iPhones, clothes from Shein, or unnecessary gadgets from Alibaba, all made under inhumane working conditions. Or they buy Demeter products, even though leading figures in the organization had Nazi ties. Do these indignant people still use PayPal, perhaps? Its predecessor company was also founded by Musk. Or ChatGPT? He was involved with OpenAI in the early days too.
The alternative would be a life in the woods.
Some will say there are friendly alternatives to all these products. Really? As long as we’re talking about companies, if we look closely enough, we’ll eventually find skeletons in every closet. And where do we draw the line? Up to what point are certain products okay, and when do they become morally objectionable? Is corruption fine? Exploitation in countries of the Global South? People with Nazi pasts in executive positions? CEOs who support certain parties?
As long as we consume, we’ll buy things that could be held against us. And as long as the people who get worked up about my Tesla purchase don’t retreat to the woods, grow their own food, make their own clothes, and live completely in harmony with nature, it’s hypocritical for them to get upset about my decision.
Being against Tesla is the zeitgeist. If you’re against Musk, you’re against Tesla. But the individual advantages I associate with the car have nothing to do with politics. It’s too late for a sticker that says, “Bought it before he went crazy,” like the ones popping up on Teslas in the U.S. Should I hope people believe I made my decision before he “went crazy,” but only now have the money?

Activists are attempting to attack and tear down Tesla as revenge against Elon Musk. If we stand together, we can make sure they fail.
They've laid out their plan publicly and clearly. Pressure people to sell Tesla cars and Tesla stock to try and "stop Elon Musk".
But these attacks won't hurt Elon, and they won't scare him into staying silent. They will only hurt American workers, American manufacturing, and America's competitiveness against China in building the autonomous electric vehicles of the future.
We need reasonable people across the political spectrum — democrats and republicans — to stand up against these threats and violence for the good of our country. Elon Musk owns less than 20% of Tesla. The rest is owned by ordinary front line workers, retail investors, and by anyone who owns an S&P 500 index fund (basically everyone).
When you hurt Tesla you're hurting America. Elon won't care about being worth $300 billion instead of $400 billion, but the production worker who is laid off will care about losing their job. These attacks are not noble.
Some Democrats might say "Well Elon deserves it! What did he think was going to happen getting into politics?". But that's no reason not to stand up against violence and threats. You shouldn't have to face death threats, violence, and attempts to ruin your life just for getting involved in politics. This is why so few of our best and brightest do get involved.
If you disagree with what Elon is doing, go and vote in the mid term elections and change the composition of congress. Go vote in the next Presidential election and pick a Presidential candidate you think represents you better. But don't resort to violence or attacking your fellow American. That's what our enemies want.
The rationale behind these more mild types of attacks is not that different than any other act of terrorism. Imagine for example, when Charlie Hebdo was attacked, if people said "well, they shouldn't have drawn that cartoon..."
Regardless of how you feel about the cartoon, resorting to attacks to try and silence someone and subvert the democratic process is wrong. It is something we should all stand against, regardless of where we stand on the political spectrum.
We are in the middle of an AI "space race" with China. We can not afford to lose sight of that. The transition to electric vehicles is more important now than it has ever been, and Tesla is leading the way. Attacks on Tesla make America weaker.
I call on Americans of all walks of life to join me in a counter protest. The goal of the counter protest is to neutralize the impact of these attacks by doing the opposite of what the attackers intend.
1. The attackers want people to feel shame for driving an electric vehicle, when in reality they should be proud. So where they leave threatening notes, leave notes thanking people for going electric. Tell people "cool car". Wave to other Tesla drivers and give a thumbs up.
2. Instead of dumping Tesla stock, buy Tesla stock (not financial advice). Instead of selling Tesla cars, buy Tesla cars — new and used. Post publicly about how you're doing this in response to attacks on Tesla.
3. Organize meet-ups at Tesla showrooms holding signs like "Support American workers", "Support the most American made cars" and "support cutting edge AI safety"
You may be reluctant to stand up against your own party as they organize these attacks and protests. But if violence and threats are the norm for getting involved in politics, we will not move forward as a society. Both sides will then face violence and threats anytime they are in power.
Tesla is the best of America, a national treasure we should all be proud of. Whether you love Elon or hate him, leave Tesla workers alone.
I just saw this #Target commercial on #HallmarkChannel and it was awesome. This guy who looks like Santa has a red Jeep that says "SLEIGH." He's on his way into work at Target. The store looks like a lodge.
Just epic. Where is this commercial? I need footage.

I find the strikes system annoying. I used @tesla #autosteer #FSD while searching for a rest stop. I guess my alternative would be to just unsafely drive myself while searching?

We are considering switching from an electric car to petrol or diesel. I have some questions to see if it really suits me and my family and hope someone knowledgeable can help?
1. I have heard that a petrol car cannot be refueled at home but I have to go to a special place for this? How often do I have to fill up, is it several times a year? Will there be options for refueling at home? We are used to the car being filled up every morning, as sort of by itself.
2. Are there many parts that need to be replaced? The seller said something about oil and filter change, gearbox, timing belt and other service. Do you see how many percent degradation you have on the wearing parts or will they break suddenly?
3. Do I often have to brake with the brake pedal, or can I accelerate and brake with the same pedal as in my current car? Do I get gas back into the tank when I brake or go downhill?
4. Do all petrol and diesel cars have much slower acceleration? I test drove one yesterday and it felt like it took a very long time from when I stepped on the gas pedal until it reacted. Maybe there was something wrong with that particular car?
5. We now pay $0.02/mile but with the petrol it will be about $0.13, even if the new car is cheaper to buy it will very soon cost more. We drive 15,000 miles per year. We hope that more people will use petrol so that the prices will go down... is there such a trend?
6. I have understood that petrol and diesel consist largely of oil. Is it true that the extraction of oil is associated with global environmental problems and widespread wars with absolutely terrible consequences for people around the world, including several world wars and trouble in the last 100 years in which tens of millions of people have died? Is there any solution to that in sight, we don't want to contribute to such crap, do we?
7. My son also heard that petrol cars emit fumes and toxic gases. I’ve read about air pollution and its impact on respiratory health. Are we contributing to that by switching to a petrol or diesel car?
Will these pose risks to our health and the environment?
... have more questions but these are the ones I came up with now. Thanks for all the help!

I get how the algorithm works, so nobody is going to see this post because it’s not negative or salacious. But the boring fact is we have owned 8 EVs over the past 6 Colorado winters. We have never been in an accident in the snow, never ran out of battery, never gotten stuck, and have never been stranded. Our experience says our Teslas are much safer than the numerous Explorers and Lincoln SUVs we had in the past. Our lives in the winter with these things has been nothing but awesome. I would send my 16-year-old or my 21-year-old out in the snow any day in a Tesla without worry. So to the hundred or so people who see this, now you know. That’s it. That’s the post.

BREAKING: Tesla's Cybertruck is officially the most American made truck overall!
The Cybertruck has 90% North American parts, including 65% from the US/Canada, per Tesla's Monroney sticker. The Ford F-150 Lightning has just 38% US/Canada content, and the ICE version just 30%.
Tesla has gone to great lengths to localize as much as possible. The Cybertruck's Maroney sticker says:
• Battery mfg & assembly: Austin, TX
• Motor Assembly: Austin
• Gearbox/transmission: Austin
• On-board charger final assembly: Austin
• Final assembly: Austin

You may have heard about the huge Tesla recall last week. I wanted to formally share my experience with both of our vehicles getting recalled.
On my past cars, I've always looked forward to sitting at a dealership for an entire day while they monkey with something under the hood. Makes me feel so good about my vehicle investment, especially when they tell me I need to pay for other unrelated fixes in the same visit. Warms my heart!
The most inconvenient thing happened with both Teslas though! In the middle of the night, they both automatically downloaded a software update and installed it, remedying the recall. How awful!
I can't believe Tesla would save me two trips to the shop and solve a recall without me ever noticing. Solving recalls in my driveway while I sleep? Gross.
Anyways, thank you to the NHTSA for keeping me safe by literally increasing the font size on our vehicle screens, and nothing else. Appreciate you 😘 xoxo
Good article! Exciting to imagine what could be coming.
