You can never have too many pictures of dogs wearing spectacles. The late, great, much-missed #FredHarper, who would have -- should have, in not so cruel a universe -- been 14 years old today.

A group of MPs travel somewhere they aren't welcome, knowing they aren't welcome there, then express surprise they weren't welcomed, What a shocking tale. #Israel

Since when did we switch from the traditional #Halloween to "Spooky Month"? Has this any connection to the name's religious roots as “All Hallows' Eve”, or is it just a ploy to extend the shopping period?

Who was really behind the violent riots in France last weekend? Investigative journalist @NoraBussigny spent more than a year undercover before offering her own analysis -- and it's not disgruntled students. (Clipping from @TheFP.)

Replying to @SolihullCouncil
I've just been informed my weekly refuse collections are becoming fortnightly, I now have to pay for the formerly free garden waste collection -- and that my council tax is rising is an above-inflation 5%. If you were a commercial entity, you'd go out of business, and rightly so.

I wish Burnham demonstrated half as much concern over the security of British citizens as he does for the people of Ukraine.

Another reason -- as if I needed one -- not to buy a 'smart' domestic appliance. Have any of these #AI idiots ever considered it's a not a great idea to throw lit matches around when you're sitting on a tinderbox? @AnthropicAI @ChatGPT

Perfect attire for when we point out the Bayeux Tapersty was created in England, so the French should leave it with us. [Design by @GhostPicnics.]

|@ThreeUK believes today is 27 October, which perhaps explains why it claims I've blown 1.7Gb of data since the new month began FOUR DAYS AGO. I barely use my iPhone off-wifi (most months I have 1.5Gb+ left over). 2nd month running, too. Maybe I should contact Trading Standards.

Remember the old days, when the roles actors played didn't necessary reflect their own political viewpoint, or sexuality, or even planet of origin? #DannyTrejo: "I am an actor. My job is to tell a story."

Even if #Russia did interfere with the #Brexit vote -- and Burnham is offering no actual evidence, or even a vague hint of such -- did this alleged meddling affect the result? If not, Pandering Andy is merely trying to muddy the waters ahead of a massively divisive policy swerve.

Picked this up in #Morrisons tonight. A very nice brew, and currently available at £7.50 for four. #beer @Guinness_Global

Will @TheGreenParty also be investigating members who voted in support of this outrageous motion?
