A pair of exceptional New Zealand Pinots at dinner. Kusuda Martinborough 2018 very elegant, & now incredibly hard to find (outrageously priced at secondary). 4940 btls. Valli Waitaki Vineyard 2015 a great example with tons of character, always been my favourite of their Pinots.

Something extremely rare from @StevenBrunskill finished cellar! 2010 @HANS_HERZOGwine Nebbiolo. One of the few made in NZ & 1/225 btls! Great example of the variety, at 14yrs really just starting to stretch its legs. Love the certificate and work that has gone into this. Bravo.

Bell Hill Chardonnay 2009 is just outstanding at 14yrs age. For me the country’s finest Chard, & it really needs a decade + to show its absolute best. Not quite at peak, have 1 left. Controversial opinion; it may mature earlier, but I still think it would be better under cork.

Some highlights from another wine dinner with @StevenBrunskill at Hugo’s Bistro. Starting with Blanc de @lynch_bages 2011. Much better than a overly developed bottle a year ago, fresh zesty & complex. 66% Sauvignon Blanc, 22% Muscadelle, 12% Semillon. 70% barrel ferment (1/2 new)
