Thank you!!! 🥳
I have always said that using the Streamlined Progression cheats is not truly how the developers want people to “play” the game.
And it’s so vindicating to see him say that cheats would spoil the experience and gameplay discussions for real fans of the game! 👏
Naoki Hamaguchi says the “Streamlined Progression” feature will not be in FF7 Revelation at launch. Says they will add it after a certain amount of time.
“One of the discussions that we had is that right after launch, a lot of players and fans will probably go have a discussion about what kind of builds that they might make to make their gameplay progression smoother and share that amongst each other.
I think that’s one of the fun ways to engage with the game. We don’t want to take that experience away from them by having the streamlined progression feature at launch. I feel like if we offered it at launch, we might see some negative comments and feedback from players.
We did make the decision to implement streamlined progression into Revelation after a certain time has passed.”

Sonic was always one of our most popular costumes in LittleBigPlanet too. 🌍
Although our highest ranked superhero costume didn’t go to Spider-Man, it actually went to another superhero. 👀
Sonic has been ranked No. 2 in "Boys' Top Characters" in a Kids' Interactive Entertainment Report conducted by Lingokids.
Only Spider-Man beat the blue blur to the top spot this year. #SonicNews

Reminder: If the Streamlined Progression cheats launch on PlayStation 5 tomorrow too.
Then today could be your last chance to acquire the Platinum Trophy and have it actually mean something of any worth.

This was one of the very last things that I worked on for LittleBigPlanet and Sackboy.
Happy to see it finally announced to you all. 🙂

If someone can tell me what my motivation would be to have the game that I was overseeing be hacked and escalating its online services towards an inevitable shut down, eventually leading me to need to find employment elsewhere.
I would certainly love to hear it.

Games media could be remarkable and show solidarity with video game developers by refusing to promote the games of companies that laid off the very people that built the games that they profit from.
Of course, that would require games media to care about the games industry.

Five years already? It still feels like only yesterday when I launched the social media accounts. 😅

Fun fact: I actually added the Companion Capers category to address the complaints that there were not enough levels featuring the new characters in the main story.
This was a sentiment that I strongly agreed with, so I made it a goal to fill this void with community levels.

Then Guinness would be wrong…
Because the LittleBigPlanet community published entire movies to watch in-game.
And many of them were over 71-minutes!
Genuine question… Does anyone actually know the runtime of the longest movie ever published in LittleBigPlanet?
You all HATE long cutscenes.
But did you know there’s a 71-minute one?
The official Guinness World Record for the longest cutscene sequence in a game is 71 minutes and belongs to MGS 4.
71 min - Metal Gear Solid 4
46 min - Star Ocean: The Last Hope
33 min - Xenoblade Chronicles 2
31 min - Death Stranding
24 min - Final Fantasy VII
23 min - Yakuza 2
23 min - Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core
20 min - Okami
