Over 150 civil society groups have written to the Home Secretary to voice their alarm at the #PolicingBill before parliament today - in reality it’s a #SilencingBill that will stifle protest & criminalise trespass with intent to reside. Write to your MP! theguardian.com/uk-news/2021…

I can't believe that this is not headline news. Instead, it has been tucked away in a section of the @guardian known as 'environment' and will be forgotten about in one, maybe two, weeks time. theguardian.com/environment/…

If standing up against the climate and ecological breakdown and for humanity is against the rules then the rules must be broken.

Police bans on #ExtinctionRebellion protests in London is an unlawful constraint of our rights to #FreedomofExpression and peaceful assembly.
Protesters' rights must be respected and their calls for urgent #climateaction heard.

Suggestion for UK climate twitter: wouldn't it be great if you had to get planning permission to cut down trees in the way you have to do to build an extension?
Could this be done by amendments to local planning laws?
Please RT to anyone who might know.
