Thanks to all my oomfs for getting me up to 250. It's good to see the Empire's sons aren't lost to the years of Disney propaganda.
Now, pick your class and secure that command post!

"Sorry, bro, you gotta be the chosen one and fight in the fake war, but you can't save your mother from slavery."
Same logic today:
"Sorry, bro, you gotta fight the chosen people's fake wars, but you can't save your country from invasion or have a family."

Several of my replies are just Rebel fans coping and seething about their no-win situation.
In Disney Canon, they're neutered cucks propped up entirely by plot devices.
In Legends, their whole ethos gets curbstomped by Slaanesh level hedonists.
Generational Imperial W.
The Yuuzhan Vong were the first thing written out by Disney's Lucasfilm because they force a paradigm shift.
When "Literally Nazis" are the deterrent for "Literally Chaos" AND instrumental to getting rid of them, were the Rebels really the heroes for opening the gates to them?
The design team watching changing consumer habits chimp out an another level in the theater because of them:

Reports are breaking that Lindsay Graham was gay and had relationships with teenage boys.
Please inform the media we all knew this already.
It's an unwritten rule of the galaxy that 1 in every billion blue aliens turns out baller for no discernible reason. Not even the Emperor can explain why.
No, the Twi'leks don't make the cut, their whole civilization is just a vicious cycle of slavery and communism.
Meet the Imperial Troop Transport.
With a gross weight rating of 55 tons, the ITT can run over 90mph on dirt roads.
The ITT also has space for 16 troopers in total, plus a pilot and a gunner.
Everything about this floating box is absurd and the Empire could never replace it.

With good reason.
There's only one legitimate governing body in the galaxy, as anyone knows:

_Starship Troopers_ is not a 'misunderstood' movie.
The right-wing reading is that despite Verhoeven's faggot politics, his attempt at a subversive adaptation *fails* & the values implicit in Heinlein's source material shine through DESPITE Verhoeven's contempt for them.
Everyone knows that Verhoeven is a European liberal & a clumsy satirist. That isn't what's at issue.
The issue is whether the film _Starship Troopers_ in fact accomplishes what Verhoeven set out to do, & the answer to that is *no*—while he enjoys his cheap sight gags & wink-wink allusions to 20th c fascism, he's still working from a plot where normal humans are defending their home against terrible monsters.
We know that Verhoeven wants to ridicule 'militarist excess'—but we also know that in the context of the movie, which is an existential struggle against aliens, the emergency facing humanity justifies anything.
So again, the right-wing reading is that Verhoeven's discomfort with the source material led him to ironize & undermine the novel's militarism with superficial humor & aesthetics, but his failure to rewrite the plot means that the audience's sympathy will always be with the soldiers & fighters who find themselves in an impossible situation, despite Verhoeven's sensibilities.

Y'all think Vader became the good guy? Are you aware of what you're saying? Do you understand the symbolism even slightly?
"Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!"
