Farewell Udo Kier, not only one of the finest actors I have worked with but the kindest and nicest. Here we are on Revelation together in Malta, he was The Grand Master (what else?). His eyes made the poster!
Current BAFTA sector committee elections: my votes include @rashiddavari , Neil Grant, @katmansoor and Louisa Dent, all fine candidates.

RIP Alan Yentob. He gave me my debut as a writer/director, in 1992. The BBC Head of Drama had turned down An Ungentlemanly Act but Alan, who had barely met me, decided to back the film out of his own budget at BBC2 and damn the consequences. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cy8d…
Hazel Stewart, portrayed by Genevieve O'Reilly in "The Secret", the TV drama I adapted from Deric Henderson's book, is staging another appeal! Sounding very like the attempt of a few years back, don't you think, @derichenderson ? bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgle…
