Agaram 2.5B is out. It's a Tamil-first language model we trained from scratch at @MuraiLabsHQ , our small non-profit lab. As far as we know, it's the first Tamil model trained from scratch that can call tools.
It chats in Tamil, Tanglish and English, translates, and can call tools. We're releasing the base model, chat model and GGUF files under Apache-2.0. You can download it and run it offline on your own laptop.
The first chat model had a four-day public preview. Seeing where it fell short with real users helped us decide what to work on. We rebuilt the fine-tuning around what we saw, using 222,662 records.
Thank you to everyone who spent time with that early version.
The video walks through the model. You can try it here:

Producer Gushmitha Ganesh at #MookuthiAmman2 Event:
"Lady Superstar #Nayanthara has just made the film reach a big level. We wanted to make a perfect Pan-Indian movie, and MA-2 is going to be one such movie."
😂Dear Nelson, Please include this in #Jailer3
MVP and Moorthy Anna are inevitable laughter
"Great initiative, sir! Had this been allowed right on the #Jailer2 release date, would it have given a much better boost to the trade?"
Our request to Hon Minister Thiru @imrajmohan sir for 6 am show is mainly due to Tamil Cinema being released in Kerala, Karnataka, Telugu States and Overseas by 6 am (as in past when Tamil Nadu had even 5 am shows) and the Tamil audience being denied that opportunity now to watch at the same time like in other states and overseas.
It will be availed only for some Top 15 to 20 films a year, which have huge expectations, not all films will start at 6 am. All Tamil Cinema associations requested the same . Hoping for the TN State Govt approval for it soon 🙏
Mookuthi Amman 2 Pre-Release Event is all set to begin shortly
#MookuthiAmman2 #Nayanthara
#Rishikanth attitude change a ?
If he isn't picking the calls, there could be many reasons? What do you expect then? Keep attending 300 Calls daily....

#AnirudhRavichander has become the 'BLOCKBUSTER MAGICIAN'. This year with #Jailer2 and year ends with #King with SRK
#Appakutty Satellite rights with Zee Tamizh. One thing that stirs curiosity is about Mu Maran, known for 'Rajesh Kumar' novel kind of thrillers collaborating with #VijayAntony. Excited to watch!
