It's comical now in hindsight how much it was pushed that "if you hear our name in rumors its probably fake". They have looser lips than a clique in high school now.

16 Stats 📊📈📉 The Bruins are off to a hot start and there's a lot to like under-the-hood compared to last season. A look at what's changed and who's driving it. Plus notes on Beckett Sennecke's entry rate, Cole Caufield battling for pucks and more. nytimes.com/athletic/7733297…

You know what I hate about this team, how much they talk through the media, this whole long shifts thing could’ve been a simple conversation within practice or a game review. Why am I hearing about this, what other team talks like this after games, is anyone media trained?

I have never, NEVER, seen a professional sports organization value a players ability TO PLAY THE FUCKING SPORT less than the Flyers Until the organization stops being in denial about the fact that 80% of the roster isn't good enough to build around, there is no hope

It’s that simple, ladies and gentlemen
Mostly, I'm just tired of the worst players on the team telling me about the problems with the team. Brother, you're the problem with the team. 33 year old Sean Couturier is one of the worst hockey players I've ever seen in my life, and he gets 17 a night and $8M a year.

Auston Matthews has been a much better leader this season. Dude is carrying the team on his back but always places the loss on himself and the 5 man unit instead of burying his goalie

In regards to the postgame comments last night, the 2026-27 Flyers are definitely soft. They don’t play with enough effort or energy to win battles to even have the puck on their sticks enough to make plays and score goals. Zegras this, Michkov that, blah blah blah, yada yada yada. Bunting has done nothing. Acciari has done nothing. Bump’s been a disappointment. Cates isn’t winning as many battles as he usually does. Foerster’s playing pond hockey out there. York’s chillin. Drysdale got paid. It’s the entire team. Nothing Coots or Seeler said was incorrect. The Flyers are soft.

While the below is true, it’s probably worth noting that the Flyers defenders have been credited with 106 hits so far this year. Carolina’s D? 68 hits.
Sean Couturier called out the Flyers for being "soft" too often this season. He's not wrong. That's obviously on the team. But it's fair to question the overall roster construction, too. 🎁 Free to read: nytimes.com/athletic/7734578…

Maxey acknowledged this after the DET game but i would like to see him get off the ball quicker on ball screens when he gets driven east/west by a switch or a show, there have been too many stall outs on possessions when you have LeBron or Embiid downhill on the roll

Tocchet took every opportunity to rip Michkov last year about his off-season. 15 games in after MM had a stellar off-season and is 5th in the NHL in goals on a team that can’t score and Tocchet takes another shot at him. No clue how the front office can do nothing about this.

Larkin could be traded soon but it doesn’t mean it would be right now, because it could be later. It depends on if he gets traded today or not.
Hearing that trade talks have escalated on Larkin. Which doesn't mean it necessarily leads to a trade imminently but things have escalated. Things can still go a few different directions at the moment.

The more I see people discuss the Flyers and their offseason, the more I feel like I am much lower on them than most going into the season This was a team that was below Toronto and Seattle in the standings 56 games into the 82-game season

Larkin will not play tonight. McLellan says Shawn Horcoff will address the situation

“Not about points” is pretty rich coming from someone on a team that has scored an embarrassing 1.93 goals per game to in 15 games. Locker room divided in year 2 under Tocchet once again. Whomever in the front office pushed for the Tocchet hire should be shown the door with him

Flyers Head Cocah Rick Tocchet last night addressing Nick Seeler's "me, me, me" comments: "You know there's times when you should change, get your buddy on the ice when he's fresh, instead of trying for one more last rush and then changing on the way back. Things like that are I think what Nick's talking about me me, you can't do that sort of stuff." "Accountability starts from me. Going to have to take some ice time from that. Leadership is going to have to do a little bit of that too, so I think it's important that doesn't creep in your room 100% the me-me-I attitude." Yikes...I feel like we all know who Tocchet is talking about here, but brutal stuff

This quote. The captain (Coots) calling them soft. Tocchet agreeing. Is this telenovela getting picked up by Univision or what? Meanwhile, even though they can't score overall, Zegras still has 13 in 15 and Michkov has seven goals in as many games.
#Flyers defenseman Nick Seeler after the loss: "It’s just focus levels & compete levels and playing for the crest. That’s what it’s all about. It’s not about getting points. It’s not about me, me, me. It’s about the team & playing for each other & sacrificing for each other."

Most prophets were cast off in their day. Turns out us online "crazy" fans were correct. The botched rebuild, the coaching hire, the leadership core, the vision, the lack of ballsy trades... all of it. Danny holding onto perceived value is rich now that it aged like spoiled milk
