After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.”
“It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

The Russia smell of this Alaska fossil fuel deal was so bad that even former Exxon people bailed from the company. The smell of Russia permeates the corrupt Trump administration. ft.com/content/e9cfbfbb-e65a…

BREAKING: Jared Kushner is reportedly hoping everyone forgot about his treasonous bribery allegations over the weekend so he can go back to negotiating with Iran and Ukraine on Monday without anyone mentioning his billions of dollars in Russian, Saudi, UAE, and Israeli bribes.

THIS IS HUGE: Dana Bash just pressed Todd Blanche on whether Trump is laying the groundwork to overturn the election, and the attorney general lost his cool
Dana Bash asked the question a lot of Americans have been waiting for someone to ask, and Attorney General Todd Blanche came apart on live television.
On CNN's State of the Union on Sunday, Bash pressed Blanche on the Justice Department's lawsuit to block certification of the Alaska Senate race if the Republican doesn't win, according to Mediaite. It's a lawsuit Trump himself said was filed at his behest.
Bash pointed to Trump's Truth Social post claiming Democrats are trying to steal the seat. She told Blanche the president was admitting it's political, and she asked him straight out whether he sees his job as helping Republicans keep the seat.
Blanche didn't have an answer. He snapped back that Trump wasn't admitting anything and that the president is supposed to make sure everything in the country is running right.
So Bash widened the lens.
She reminded him that just a couple of days earlier, Blanche himself had used the phrase doomsday scenario. Then she asked the question out loud: are Trump and the Justice Department laying the groundwork for a scenario in which Trump tries to overturn the election, with a result that could look like what the country saw after January 6th?
Blanche exploded. Oh, stop it, he told her. You are not being a real person. Come on man, that is crazy.
Bash didn't flinch. It is not crazy, she said.
Blanche insisted the department was only worried about fraud in Alaska. Bash answered him calmly: I wish it wasn't a real question.
She kept going anyway. If you're laying the groundwork for the president to try to overturn an election he doesn't like, she said, there is concern.
That's the job. A powerful official didn't want to hear it, and she asked it again until he had to respond.
Dana Bash did what the best journalists do. She asked the question the attorney general didn't want to answer, and she didn't back down when he got angry.
That is what real journalism looks like.

US military granted Musk's SpaceX access to sensitive data on orbital objects, — The Guardian
The company received expanded access to the most precise military catalog of satellites and other space objects. The information helps predict dangerous close approaches and avoid collisions.
Military surveillance systems track objects approximately 10 cm in size. SpaceX's own Stargaze system detects objects approximately half a meter in size. Additional data could enhance its capabilities and provide an advantage over competitors.
In return, the US military gains access to Stargaze cameras and sensors. The US Space Force stated that it is working with several companies on exchanging commercial data for access to parts of the military catalog.
The information has restricted access, although it is not classified. Experts warn that it could reveal the capabilities and limitations of military surveillance systems.
Industry representatives also fear an increased state dependence on SpaceX and the concentration of control over space services in Musk's hands. Previously, DOGE reduced the staff of the state orbital traffic coordination program, and the Trump administration twice attempted to cut its funding.
Recall that against the backdrop of the scandal over restricting Starlink for Ukraine, Democratic Senator Chris Kunce criticized Musk's sole control over strategically important technologies. And Republican Brian Fitzpatrick reported that Musk could even be deposed under oath.

In August, President Trump announced he had signed the “biggest oil deal in world history.”
ProPublica reviewed the deal and found it gives a small group of people largely handpicked by the Trump administration long-term control of the enterprise.
