Putin is riding a tiger. If he gets off, he's dead. There is no peace plan that can change that.
Elon proposed a path to peace in October 2022, and almost everyone attacked him for it He warned that the war meant "a lot of people dying for basically almost no changes in land." Hundreds of thousands of lives later, his plan is still the closest anyone has come to peace. Right now the world has no plan at all, and nobody is even trying And SpaceX has literally done more to defend Ukraine and save the lives of many Ukrainian people than any private company on Earth Just today he said he has "nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict" He was right then, and he is right now

Yesterday British Columbia Canada held provincial elections. A narrow conservative win was predicted by the polls. The conservatives won by double digits and gained a super majority. Polling is missing conservative voters. I expect the same thing here...as usual.

The two most prosperous and stable are the ones with the lowest social spending and taxes. Go figure.
France ranks #1 in taxes and social spending among developed nations, and protesters are demanding MORE of both? What’s French for idiocy?

Our blue state escapees tend to poll around about R+30.
People are always asking me about Republicans having a shot in California statewide elections. I always come back with simple math. There are roughly as many registered Rs in the state as there were a quarter century ago. Every four years, 100,000 or more registered Rs find a home in another state. You’re already down 3+ million votes. So now, you gotta find another 100,000 or more just to get back to the 3 million deficit - OR you have to convert 1.5mm people to switch sides to tie the race. The math doesn’t work, not in the short run. Now look at the Democrat problem in Texas. Texas grows by a million people every two years. So every midterm cycle they’re looking at probably at least 150,000 brand new (R) voters who moved there specifically because of political grievances with their former state. When they hear the war drums beating that Dems are going to ransack Texas, they immediately become the most “high prop” voters there are. 150,000 brand new R votes every 2 years is enough to cancel out and margin erosion in suburban counties and sponge up Travis/Dallas. Plain old chalkboard math is as valid in election analysis as anything else.

I’m Sid Miller’s former campaign manager. On Election Day, I will NOT be voting for Republican Nate Sheets for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. Nate Sheets is manifestly unqualified for the job, therefore, I have no choice but to do what’s best for my fellow rural Texans, our farmers, our ranchers, and every Texas consumer, regardless of the cost. I was a rural Texan long before I was a Republican. Sheets is not a man of rural Texas. He doesn’t understand our culture, our issues, and the needs of our producers. Sheets is a big-city businessman and has no experience on farms, ranches, or in our vital aquaculture industry. If there is any office in Texas that is nonpartisan, it’s the Agriculture Commissioner. This office supports our farmers, ranchers, and consumers, not political interests. A candidate who fails that simple test simply cannot be given this vital role. Nate Sheets is a walking conflict of interest. He has taken hundreds of thousands of dollars from AI data center interests. He doesn’t understand that AI data centers, along with the wind and solar farms he champions, remove Texas farmlands, damage our environment, soak up shared resources, and displace our culture, history, and people. Every acre not being farmed represents higher costs at the grocery store. Protecting farm and ranch land should be the most basic expectation for the Agriculture Commissioner. Just as bad, Sheets has a long history of disgusting personal behavior. He’s cheated on his wife repeatedly, lost his ministry due to infidelity with a subordinate, and admitted to addiction to both alcohol and pornography. We rightly forced Republicans Tony Gonzales and Bryan Slaton out of office for the same abhorrent behaviors. Why would we elect another one just like them? He may deserve Christian mercy, but he doesn’t deserve our trust or our votes. As a businessman, he is deeply disrespected in his own industry for allegedly watering down his Nature Nate’s Honey and lying about its sourcing and quality. Based on this, he sold out to private equity, just as he intends to do with our Texas heritage lands and resources. Nothing about him is authentic or trustworthy. Greg Abbott hates Sid Miller. Sid stood up to him during the COVID lockdowns and again when Abbott shut down shipping, leaving Texas farm products rotting on trucks. Mostly, Sid opposed Abbott on AI data centers before public pressure forced Abbott to flip-flop. Sheets won the primary because Greg Abbott endorsed him and lied about Sid Miller to push through his AI data center agenda. When Abbott flipped, Sheets was left hanging without a patron or a justification for his candidacy. His response was to return to attacking fellow Republican Sid Miller, an icon of rural Texas, even after winning the primary. Suburban Republicans, not farmers and ranchers, nominated Nate Sheets. Now I call on all Republicans to do the right thing and reject him.

Lost his ministry due to cheating with a subordinate. Admitted porn and alcohol addict. Serial cheater. Credibly accused of fraud in his honey business. Has taken huge $$$ from pro-data center interests to sell out rural Texas. Nate Sheets is a fraud and a pervert.

"Hemmer says the race could come down to which campaign can turn out more voters." Ummm...what else would the race come down to?
A two-point lead has disappeared in the Texas Senate race, with new Fox News polling showing Democrat James Talarico and Republican Ken Paxton now tied. @BillHemmer breaks down the numbers, noting Talarico held a slight advantage just a month ago. With a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points, Hemmer says the race could come down to which campaign can turn out more voters. In Ukraine, Trump gave up all his leverage. In Iran, he pulled his punches. America is irrelevant. That may have been the point all along.
