Just got a new gadget thats supposed to help me record my thoughts and have AI parse it to get things done and while setting it up a little popup reminder said to be mindful of consent while recording when others are around. Now I'm thinking about if the future of AI being everywhere includes law changes because it's inevitable to avoid, and if thats the case what else outside of tech is going to require changes to accommodate 🤨

Ok, with all that talk about MCP Servers... If you were wondering, does @typesense have an MCP Server? Funny you should ask. Yes! Yes we do. We recently launched an MCP Server for Typesense Cloud! So you can now tell your agent: "Create a Typesense cluster, import this data and build me a first search." And it'll go do the work. You can also tune your search queries, set up synonyms, merchandize, inspect metrics, manage clusters, search our docs, query your invoices, etc, etc ... all without leaving the comfort of ChatGPT / Claude / your agent of choice. So yes, I've gone from being repulsed by the MCP hype to shipping an MCP Server in the course of a few months. Life comes at you fast I guess 😅 Go try it out! Paste this into your agent:

Finally got home from #railsworld and I still can’t find most of my voice. But would it have really been a good conference if I could?? 🤨

This week I got to host @typesense first ever "Solve by Search" Hackathon at @PurdueCS. It was such an awesome event with brilliant minds and they got to hear about Typesense and use it, some for the first time. Watching them be mind blown by how easy + actually impressive it is was definitely the highlight for me and gets me more and more excited to share about it with more people. If you need the best possible search experience that money can't buy (it's open source) I know a guy 😉

I love going to tech events and I love chatting about the latest innovation and I love blowing people's minds with how easy and seamless their search building experience can be, but nothing beats convincing a young early-career comp sci girly that she can do it too and that the only difference between her and the next person is self-belief. Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you're right.

For the @typesense devs on Mac - I built a native macOS client for Typesense a few months ago because I wanted something faster and nicer to use than the existing tools. It’s become my go-to for browsing collections, searching data, and managing Typesense. Check it out: typesense.app

Every time I get off a call with @jasonbosco about the show that @typesense is producing, all I can think is: "is real life even real??" in the best way possible. Hope y'all are stoked for what's to come...👀

Great search shouldn’t be complicated to build. @typesense combines fast, typo-tolerant full-text search with filtering, faceting & semantic/vector search, while keeping the developer experience at its core. Powerful, open-source search. 💛 Thanks for supporting ZurichJS Conf!

Just calculated the projected CPM for this developer humor show we're producing. And uh... this is going to be one of the most expensive CPMs I've seen in my career. Now I know why folks haven't attempted to do this before 😅 Y'all better watch the show when it comes out and share it with your dev friends. I need 🫵 you 🫵 to bring this CPM down.
