I'm assuming that the next time a hedge fund starts to make too much money shorting and destroying a business, that they will be de-platformed from their Blomberg terminal and throttled by their prime broker in the name of orderly markets and consumer protection.
UNIswap token taxes. Claiming UNI = Ordinary income of FMV at time of receipt, which is your cost basis. Sell & generate cap gain/loss. If you claim the UNI immediately, but the price drops later then cap loss. But still have ordinary income from the day you claimed @TokenTax

TLDR: USD value tokens rec'd from yield farming = ordinary income on day of receipt. USD value per token rec'd = cost basis. Sell those tokens, get cap gain/loss. But how to track? We need more tools!!
