FEC filings show she gave $2,500 to a group working to elect James Talarico, the Democrat running against Ken Paxton.
She was the first Bush to back Talarico. Last week her uncle Neil became the second, and he put his reason in writing.
Texas hasn’t elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1988. The newest polls, and what Neil Bush said, are in today’s edition.

In Philadelphia, for the better of the past couple decades, they have had really good culture. Something is changing. When they got rid of Jeff Stoutland, that really pissed me off. I knew something bad was gonna happen. He is a great coach. For him not to get the respect that he deserves, that frustrates me. When guys are getting hit and offensive lineman are near them, is someone going to pick up the running back? He just got hit in the backfield. That culture with Jeff, that would never fly. When we got hit, we were picked up right away by the offensive line.“

I genuinely don’t understand how ordinary people are supposed to afford assisted living for their aging parents. Some facilities charge upwards of $10,000 A MONTH. That’s $120,000 a year just to make sure your parents are properly cared for. How is the average family supposed to afford that?
