Boy, my timeline is flooded with Pro-Talarico craziness. I assure you, the money you are paying to boost these posts is being misspent. The hilarious thing is that child molester, Talarico financier, and enemy-of-Elon, Reid Hoffman is absolutely boosting SpaceX earnings with these purchases.

In a private Zoom Meeting, Democrat Nominee for Texas Senate James Talarico says Capitalism is linked to white supremacy and climate change and needs to be dismantled. “And I think only understanding the ways that all three of those oppressive systems work together are we going to be able to begin the process of dismantling them.”

This is his primary focus in life. It is very odd. Also, this guy not only wants hospitals to chemically castrate children, but he wants your tax dollars to pay for it. He hates Christianity (said it himself, not conjecture). He is a “Christian pastor” who thinks Islam is a path to salvation. He thinks God is Transgender. He thinks God loves abortion. The guy is nightmare fuel for normal people. When there is an 80/20 issue, this weirdo is on the 20% side every time.
MAN: "Who’s your favorite drag queen in Texas?" TALARICO: "Oh, my gosh. Probably Alyssa Edwards." Texas Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico doesn't hesitate when asked to name his favorite drag queen in Texas. Talarico immediately names Alyssa Edwards, a performer who has publicly described himself as "a drag performer that works with children." Texas Rep. @realBrandonGill torched the response, posting: "It's completely bizarre for any 'man' to be able to instantly name their 'favorite drag queen' let alone the name of any drag queen at all." | @foxnewspolitics

Progressive Christianity has a hermeneutic problem, and James Talarico is a clear example of it. It needs the Gospels to be history when Jesus heals the sick and feeds the hungry. Those scenes have to have happened, or they cannot be used as “biblical grounds” for a political program. Then the method changes. The same books, same genre, same authors suddenly become poetry when the text gets to the cross as atonement, the miracles as miracles, or the resurrection as an event in history. Jesus remains useful. He stops being Lord. That is not a careful reading of Scripture. It is a political filter. If a passage can be aimed at an opponent, it is binding in their view. If a passage makes Christ risen and authoritative, it is metaphor in their reasoning. Luke does not switch genres between the feeding of the five thousand and the empty tomb. You do not get a historical Jesus for social policy and a symbolic Jesus for Easter. Progressive Christianity wants the moral capital of the Bible without the claims that make the Bible Christian. They want the ethics without the gospel. Talarico is just the public face of that move. The deeper issue is a church tradition that uses Jesus as a model for the cause and then denies the event the apostles actually preached. Either the Gospels are telling you what happened, or they are not, you can’t pick and choose.

America’s corporate governance system is broken, and it’s killing public companies. Look no further than Cracker Barrel: Decades of brutal mismanagement have seen one incompetent CEO after another walk away with a massive paycheck while customers and actual shareholders take a beating. Why does this keep happening? Because proxy advisory firms like ISS are corrupt. They blindly rubber-stamp failing boards year after year, protecting the corporate elite while burning shareholder value to the ground. The root of the rot is index funds. There's no question that indexing one's money is a smart financial move for most people. But just because you passively index your investments doesn't mean your corporate votes should be handed over to the managers of your fund so they can play politics. Right now, passive funds hold massive, unchecked voting blocks while having zero skin in the game themselves. It is time for a simple rewrite of the rules: We need to index the votes of index fund investors. Passive index funds should be forced to automatically split their votes to proportionately mirror those of retail and active institutional shareholders — the people actually doing the research, risking their capital, and fighting for performance in the companies they hold shares in. No more rubber-stamping. A change like this will immediately strip corrupt gatekeepers like ISS of their toxic influence. True accountability happens when lazy, overpaid boards actually answer to the stakeholders they represent, rather than screwing them over. Actual, logic-driven governance when your money is passive happens when your vote passively follows the voting decisions of the actual market. We need to stop letting passive capital protect active incompetence. By stripping index funds of their arbitrary voting power and empowering engaged investors, we will finally torch corporate cronyism and usher American capital markets into a golden age of capitalism.

This week in “data centers raise your bill:” - Georgia Power: Residential savings go from $102/yr to $180/yr by 2029 - PG&E: 4th rate cut in 2 years, down 11% since 2024 - Indiana Michigan asks regulators for a rate reduction All cite data center growth as the reason.

Feels like a good time to repost a relevant piece. If you think Ken Paxton's odiousness makes James Talarico any better as a choice, then you don't understand why - as a Christian - I consider Talarico to be morally worse: a false counselor hiding behind claimed Christian virtue to lie lead his flock astray. I *hate* him in ways I will never quite loathe the familiar corruption of Paxton. Do not pretend to me that he is a hero - he is malevolence in a pleasing disguise. nationalreview.com/2026/03/j…

This is HUGE NEWS. "The overall maternal mortality rate declined by about 17 percent in the first full year after the Dobbs decision." The mainstream media has not paid much attention to this. We now have data from the CDC showing declines in maternal mortality since 2022 and declines in infant mortality since 2023. h/t @Michael_J_New nationalreview.com/corner/ma…

There’s a big, online campaign going on in lefty land right now in Texas to keep poor and middle class kids from being able to get out of their failing public schools and get a good education. From what I can gather, the lefty argument is that poor and middle class kids shouldn’t be able to attend better schools because some rich people might also benefit from the program. In order to avoid accidentally benefiting some rich kids who are already attending private schools we need to make sure that those dirty poor and slightly less dirty middle class kids are stuck in failing schools. Great work, Texas democrats. Strong stuff. Well reasoned. That’ll show those rich kids!

This should be called the Alvin Bragg effect because it is derogatory. Daniel Penny is a great/brave person. Alvin Bragg is trash who persecutes heroes and glorifies violent psychopaths. So just over the last days: - A man shot two kindergartners at a Christian school in CA as "revenge for Gaza" - A Palestinian man ran over an Israeli-American in Laguna after finding out he was Israeli - Anti-Israel protestors threw objects through the window and vandalized the car of a Jewish U of M regent while he and his family slept in their home. - SF Hillel was vandalized with antisemitic graffiti Somehow the media isn't interested in doing the usual conversation about rhetoric that could be driving this trend.
