“Alcoholics Anonymous has given me something of real value that I can share with others.”

Eleven years have passed since I last took a drink. By the grace and power of God who loves me and a little help from my friends who showed me the 12-step path to recovery. One day at a time, life takes on new meaning. I am grateful for all who walk the path beside me. ❤️ 👣👣

Sobriety date is. 3/16/1995. 30 years. I thank all my sober peeps for my Sobriety. You, along with my Higher Power ( God) and a lot of work, have made this possible.

Finally blocked the anti AA crusader. While they may be "sober," they have an evil spirit. Live and let live. Whatever your pathway to sobriety is, I respect it, even if it's not my pathway. That's sober behavior, in my opinion.

A lot of people on here hate on Friends of Bill W. And that’s fine. I just worry that their constant criticism of it will deter people from trying it out and seeing if it works for them. Which is sad to me.

I'm Jeff. I'm an alcoholic & addict.
It's been just over one year since my younger sister passed away.
I miss my sister deeply. So I honor her life by choosing to live Clean and Sober.
Grief + pain remain, but I am healing one day at a time. ❤️

Kind of feel like self-destructing. I wish people in recovery understood how difficult it is to stay sober with severe mental illness. You got two demons trying to take you back out. My norm was chaos. I will get through this day. 🙏

liver failure, death knocking & newly diagnosed liver cirrhosis didn't even stop my addictions grip on me. i relapsed, went straight back to the bottom & headed back to deaths door. addiction is scary. it's not always the case of "just stop, it's easy, you mug" 🥴 297 days sober.

I had a great sober day. This time of the year was always the worst for my drinking. In February I will have 4 years, God willing. One day at a time! I just share that so others know that we do recover.

This book is amazing, a masterclass on how one can get into the spiral of an alcoholic without falling into clichés or victimhood. Brilliant.

Things that have helped me in my recovery:
-Not reacting to posts that upset me. I just ignore them.
-Seeing everyone as my equal.
-Trying not to engage in negativity.
-Prayer and meditation.
-Sticking to a route.
